Authentic Egyptian Cotton
This product is 100% authentic, single-ply, single-pick, long-staple Egyptian cotton. Yes, there was a lot we had to clarify there because there are several ways other brands try to deceive consumers. Egyptian cotton is superior to most other sheet material because of the long-staple. While the long-staple can be found in other cottons, it is most predominantly found in Egyptian grown cotton. This long-staple allows the cotton to be woven more extensively, creating a softer and more durable sheet that is resistant to pilling. The carefully crafted weave makes Egyptian cotton sheets more breathable. You can see why authentic Egyptian cotton sheets are so desirable; unfortunately, a lot of consumers are tricked into purchasing inferior products.
Most Oversized Dimensions
MALOUF manufactures their linens to the most oversized dimensions available. Fitted sheets accommodate mattress depths from 6 to 22 inches, perfect for thick mattresses or beds with mattress toppers. The ultra-thick fitted sheet elastic goes all the way around the mattress to guarantee a secure fit.
MALOUF's Egyptian cotton is finely woven to produce a true 600 thread count, but thread count alone is not the best way to measure Egyptian cotton quality. Designed in the U.S., imported materials were used to provide the highest levels of quality and comfort. Available in white, ivory, khaki, chocolate, silver sage, and slate.

On a random note, the washing instructions on the tag are actually large enough to read. They get bonus points for that.
Another wonderful (& my favorite) feature is the size & depth. I have a Cal King memory foam mattress and changing the sheets had become one of my most dreaded chores. The generous size & wide elastic on the Malouf sheets makes it simple. No more wrestling with the fitted sheet (or begging my husband to help change them)! Plus, the pillow cases are large enough to slip easily onto our fluffy pillows :)
I'll be ordering more of these for sure :)
The linens are wonderful. Like other reviews they are not too heavy but not too thin. The best part is that the elastic is all the way around the bottom sheet not just in the corners like most.
I find Malouf to be the best on the market.
Your hand can slide across them like silk or not or something in between. Its weight can be light or not or something in between. It can last a long time or not or something in between. It can be made of natural fibers or not or something in between. It can drape well or not or something in between. It can be soft or not or something in between. It can wrinkle or not or something in between. The color can fade or not or something in between. They can be crisp or not or something in between. Normally it is a tradeoff; you gain one thing at the expense of another. If it is cotton it is going to wrinkle. The way you wash, dry, and iron it will change some of these properties.
Most of you that have reviewed sheets are stuck on “thread count” but have no clue what it really means. You’ve bought this hype and now you are passing on your so called expertise to others.
You can have a well finished single ply sheets with 300 thread count made from 100% Egyptian Pima cotton and using fine 100s for yarn size that will feel 1000% better than a 1200 thread count fabric that you are brainwashed to believe will outperform it. If you want to learn more go to linenplace.com and look up the article: “The truth about thread count”
I had a single ply Sateen Court of Versailles 400 thread count sheets. That felt magnificent. They were made from 100% Pima Cotton. They were light, cool, and had a silky feel. Iad them for about two years. I must have restless feet because I tore a whole where my feet rest at night.
So I decided to see what Amazon had to offer.Read more ›
