Top Customer Reviews
-lots of power (3-4 full recharges on my S4)
-Looks nice and the light is an added bonus
-good size and weight, you could slip it into a pocket if you needed to.
-Although I have not needed it having two usb ports is a plus.
Here is the bad....
-takes FOREVER to charge (the battery back) plugging in the power bank it seems to take at least 15-20 hours to get to full power off the wall... making quick turn around impossible..as a photographer I need it to charge faster. (I've been through plenty of usb cables)
-A 1.5w solar panel? hmmmm... It seems like an awesome Idea however I've had this out in the sun for 7 hours to not even see a %25 increase in power. This also heats the whole power bank to the point where it's very warm to the touch
-I know it's under 30 dollars but it just feels cheap, outer orange plastic has a lot of flex and a fragile feel. The charging port for the micro usb wiggles.
-The packaging.. (I know this is a little picky) Spelling mistakes all over the box as well as very vague warnings. If the company does not take the time to do a proper translation on their box how can I expect them to take their time on the product??
I don't. It was cheap. I wish I spent more.
EDIT: well...I cannot return it so I'll have to bite the bullet on this one. Ended up going with an Anker power bank. Highly recommend.
I haven't really used the flashlight for anything, but it does work, so there's that.
The button on the back (the one I had an issue with), is pretty strong but looks like it could break if you were to inadvertently slide the back of the charger against a rough surface. Mine had a somewhat similar issue, but like I said the customer service fixed it promptly.
The water/dust proof features are the main reason I bought this versus other chargers, and it really does help. I go hiking/biking, and if it rains/I leave this on a rock, etc. to charge there is no damage/issue with the charger.
It does come with several adapters to various devices: a mini-usb, micro-usb (this one is used to charge the charge bank itself), a Samsung charger, and a few others. They are of fairly good build quality; however, the the micro-usb is shaped slightly differently than a conventional micro-usb, so only their charger works to charge the charge bank, unless you sand of the edges on traditional micro-usb. This is unfortunate, so I just leave the one they gave at home, purely to charge the charge bank, so I don't damage it; I didn't realize this at first, and did end up damaging it, but they sent me a new one free of charge.
-Super high capacity. 15000 mAh is a lot, for multiple charges for any phone/tablet.
-The solar panel does actually help in a tight spot, it's a very useful feature, though I wouldn't recommend it for a full charge by any means.
-The charger has a whole is very durable, and it's water-resistant and dust-proof
-You can charge two devices simultaneously without a problem.
- Back button isn't the best (potential to break), but if you're relatively careful shouldn't be an issue.
-You just about have to use the given cord to charge the bank.
What I disliked: When I received the charger I gave it a full charge right away. I stored the charger (fully charged) and stored it for several months in the fully charged condition until I needed it. When my family member became ill and we spent 4 weeks in the hospital, I took the charger with me to the hospital to keep my phone charged to be able to communicate with doctors, insurance, etc., without interruption. Though I was able to charge my phone many times with this charger, when the charger's charge became low and needed to be recharged it will not charge by using either solar or standard electrical means. It is now a paperweight, and it is beyond the return period. Save your money and look elsewhere.
I keep it near a window in case of an earthquake to keep it charged. I tried using it in early October and it didn't work at all- so I tried it a few more times, it doesn't work, AT ALL! I am super disappointed and embarrassed, as I recommended it to several friends. I just hope if they purchased it, their's work.
It is too late for me to return it, which is also disappointing. So, now I wouldn't recommend it at all.
