It's a buy. I recommend it highly.
Next the serrations are not deep or sharp. You can run a finger along them with rough pressure and not get hurt. They seem more for show. Not a big deal for me since its a karambit and all but it was advertised and is there taking up real estate.
The knife was not sharp at all when I received it but after a few hours I have ground a new edge on the back and sharpened the front reasonably well. I intend to do more work with it later. The blade is sharp now though.
The holster is great. Couldnt ask for anything better.
I really like this knife. After spending some time putting a new edge on and honing edges it is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Anyway, pictured is this Karambit, as well as the Pterosaur - Both by Masalong.
For the Outdoor survival claw - The back edge is sharp to about 45 degrees so not really enough to cut reliably out of the box, but could be reprofiled if desired to be more useful, but the back serrations are about equal to an old steak knife that hasn't been sharpened much in years Needless to say, these could be touched up too.
Couple tests on some normal cardboard shipping tubes (not the super thick ones) proved they can cut like a mutha and both can still slice paper after without touch up.
So far, I'm very pleased with these, for the price I am actually very very impressed, and they are a good size and feel like they will hold up well for EDC.
Bottom line, for 40$, you can't complain about anything, these blades are great, and IMHO they will make for a great throwaway EDC concealed blade for those really hairy moments.
>Came fairly sharp and delivery was early.
>The double edged blade can be helpful in different situations such as the typical cutting and slicing.
>Smaller size makes this one much easier to conceal and carry. (Always check your areas legislature for carrying a weapon either concealed or visible.)
>Very lightweight allowing for quick slashes.
>As with most karambits, it has a finger ring/loop. Which, when held properly, makes it difficult to drop and/or get disarmed by an attacker. It is an anchor basically.
>This karambit is full tang, which is always a plus for me. Also the tang is not raised much from the handle, so it is fairly comfortable. Be advised, the handle is small so if you have large hands, i wouldn't suggest you get this one.
>Being a double edged knife, one must be very careful when handling it, unless you want to slice open your finger. But that said one should ALWAYS be careful when handling a knife in any way.
>Personally, i don't spin or "flip" karambits, but i wouldn't recommend trying with this one. Not safe.
>I don't particulary like the serrations on the top of the blade, not my thing but may come in handy someday.
All in all i love this knife! It has almost everything i could desire in a karambit: full tang construction, double edge, factory edge is fairly sharp, a handle that fits my hands, and choice of leather or plastic sheaths. (I prefer the hard plastic, holds it well and is adjustable). Only gripe i have are the serrations but it is not too big a problem.

Nachsatz: der Ring ist für Wurstfinger und Handschuhe (bei normaler Handgröße) nicht geeignet...
They don't seem to have any quality control and to purchase a supposedly quality knife for around $100, not worth it at all.... Save your money and purchase some other brand because they have proven to be inferior at every level.
Great quality and great price.
