"ROUTINE is intimacy’s chief enemy, and monotony kills LOVE. As time goes by, boredom and estrangement creep into nuptial bed."
The Mask is the story of Daria, a professional woman who discovers that her husband is cheating. Instead of following her first instinctive reaction and confronting him, she decides to find out just why he has been cheating, in her own way.
She goes on a quest to find out how to become 'the perfect wife'. This leads her on a journey of eroticism beyond anything she could previously have imagined.
It left me on the edge of my seat and once I began reading, I just had to finish it. I opened the first page and was immediately hooked. The author was able to present intimacy and eroticism in a really compelling way. He teaches principles and lessons about sexuality and sexual intimacy, using fiction in a way that is far from boring. There were some places where the conversation was quite long – almost a monologue of sorts – but everything tied up together nicely.
You will probably pick up something (or several things) from this book. So, did it spice up the bedroom part of my marriage? Sorry, that’s privileged information :). But you should read this book and find out for yourself. I totally recommend it.
Warning: It contains ménage and highly erotic encounters. Not for the faint-hearted.
The Mask or the Formula of a Perfect Wife is the mixture of fictional romance and a relationship self-help book. There’s a lot of repetitiveness on how society’s view on sex doesn’t mean it should control your view on sex, but it definitely drills the point home. When it comes to sex culture, traditions, propriety, and morality should not come into play.
In basic terms that means if you want to have your man tie you up and spank you or dress up as Santa then who is anyone else to judge. Same goes for him. If he wants something special or creative then give it to him. There should be no lines when it comes to sex with someone you love. No laziness; only openness and the willingness to try new things. No matter if it’s one month or twenty years that you’ve been with someone you should always give that person the best of everything, which yes means sex.
“To love sex means to love life.”
I am a strong believer in that if you don’t get it at home you’ll get it somewhere. This book brings that into new light and pushes it beyond even my own conceptions. Not that it is a bad thing; actually quite opposite.
I say drop all preconceived notions regarding sex and read this. If anything it’ll give you and your partner (or partners) some interesting ideas. I know my man has and will continue to benefit from the few things I didn’t know, but do now.
The protagonist, Daria, a young, married, "next door" kind of woman seeks help to save her marriage after discovering her husband's occasional ventures. Guided by a fellow psychologist in an exploration of her own sexuality as an effort to recover her dull marital sex life, events take a radical turn when he suggests hiring a "tutor" called Xenia, a full time slut masquerading as an upscale courtesan whose highly sophisticated teachings take them both into an spiral of arresting fantasies crashing into bittersweet real life experiences.
Although Xenia's lessons are not for every woman to try, these dangerously explicit encounters will make you look at your sex life from a new perspective, and question if you ever allowed your very own desires absolute freedom. Once the guilt is gone, Daria's journey through her most unknown pleasures unveils a totally new woman, able to enjoy her sexuality for her own pleasure. When you know how to please yourself first, then you can please your partner. Definitely worth the ride.
The plot of the story was good. And the writer emphasized on the formula ‘love till the very end’ and I like it. The personality changing advises might be helpful to the people who are facing the same problems in family life.
