Receive the knife later into the delivery time, but that was due to customs. The seller was very responsive with my questions and contact was made regularly.

Pros:
Very sharp
Sheath is tight fit, no movement from the blade.
Packaging was next to none, oil wrapped and tightly bound to keep the knife from moving around. no damage whatsoever
Handle is beautiful, there is a small marking of where the Damascus stops, but it doesn't really matter since its on the pommel.

Cons:
None yet, I will be updating this review as I use the knife and sheath. I don't plan on making any changes, but we shall see.

UPDATE: knife is ridiculously sharp, used it while hunting and it had no problem with gutting (not exactly a gutting knife, but it work). The shape of the blade helped with skinning as well. I will be updating as the months go by, if there are any faults I would expect them to arise pretty soon.

Okay, the picture they have up of this knife is beautiful, I couldn't resist. I received the knife and the steel is gorgeous but, that's where the good stops. The blade was extremely bent and the grind on each side of the blade was different (not even close to being symmetrical). The wood on the grip was also not finished, almost like it didn't get sanded and stained all the way. The package it came in was okay and wasn't damaged in anyway so, the knife was sent out that way from the maker. I understand this is a custom knife and didn't expect perfection but this was not acceptable for the price paid. The balance of the blade is okay and feels really light in hand for it's size. I went to return the knife and had to pay over $25 to ship it back because they are in the U.K. so, keep that in mind. Also, don't expect any help from the seller. Had to get my money back through amazon claims and it took two months and I am still out the shipping cost. I would say pass on this one. Thanks for your time.

Another great knife king knife to add to my collection. So far ive got the bowie with burl wood handle (awesome) now this hunting knife with sweet finger tang. Anyone that claims these knives aren't true folded steel either have no idea what theyre talking about or they received some knock off from pakistan etc. They use an acid treatment to bring out the look of the folds. Ive done my research enough to know that these blades are legit. I will of course be buying a few more before theyre gone.

Sometimes one comes across something, whether that "something" be an object or a person that seems to be to good to be true and yet is precisely that....good and true. That is the essence of my review of this knife, but of course, I must elaborate.

First, the grind, fit, finish, and overall design, is in my opinion, absolutely superb! This knife exudes an almost timeless magical quality; as though it was created in a time when craftsmanship was paramount and the sound of hammer against glowing steel was part of the life of the village. The slightly recurved blade, beautiful grind lines, sub-hilt, combined with the damascus and walnut handle make truly stunning aesthetics.

It's a heavy knife, that feels predominately like a "fighter" but with a truly inherently "practical" blade shape that would be just as useful carving up a Christmas turkey, and I assure you the guests at dinner would be quite impressed! I have a "number" of knives and as of the date of this review, this one is my favorite. Frankly, at this price point, this knife is a steal, and at twice the price would remain a significant bargain.

On a personal note, I missed the shipping delivery at my home so I picked-up the knife at DHL which as luck would have it was quite close to my office. I had unpacked the knife at my desk and was inspecting it when my administrative assistant came in to request some information on a project - long story short.... after she admired the knife she immediately went online and bought one for her husband.

The leather sheath is excellent quality and fits the knife well. What more can I say other than I am surprised that the actual maker(s) whoever she, he, or they may be has not graced the blade with some sort of "makers-mark".... since this is definitely a creation to be proud of!

I cannot recommend this knife and seller more highly than to simply say that a knife/sheath package of this quality at this price is indeed a rare find....

The Knife arrived today well packaged or so it seemed. I found the point burred as it cut right through the plastic protector and obviously hit something hard. I read that happened to someone else also in another review. Are you reading these reviews Mr. Knife King? That could have been Mr. DHL delivery man's hand. A little careful file work took care of the burr.

The knife has excellent fit and finish and is solid as a rock. It came sharp but now it's quite a bit sharper after a little wet stone and leather strap work. If this is real Damascus steel or not I don't know. What I do know is it looks and is bad @$$. The sheath is made well however a knife of this quality deserves a higher quality leather like saddle or boot leather would be more appropriate than this bonded leather.

This Knife is made of high carbon steel same as the old M7 USGI bayonets it will rust if not oiled. But if you're like me tasks like that are easy to forget. I found a simple alternative years ago, car wax. Yep Simonize or Turtle wax or whatever paste car wax you prefer will keep the rust away and lasts a long time with no greasy feel.

I gave this Knife 5 stars because this review is all about the knife. The sheath can be replaced and how it was packed for shipping takes nothing away from the quality of this bad boy and the work that the artisan put into its making. Those that are complaining about this knife must be those tricked by the imposter or have out of this world expectations. I can see the feral hogs here in East Texas lining up to be first to experience my intended use of this fine blade.
