    You can do whatever you can think of with this buddy, control your arduino, make mechanical simulations ( you need to make the 3d drawing in whatever software you like but save it as a STL format) I am still figuring out the structural analysis but I am sure it can too. Make mathematical solutions. Its an extremely flexible program, but if you are in a hurry ( trying to make your thesis as fast as humanly possible and look smart) I recommend the Labview, saddly the student version can only be bought in SparkFun WITH and Arduino if you live outside the US in a country where there is no distribution of labview student.

    I purchased this when I was working on an electrical engineering degree. My school made MATLAB available through a Citrix web portal, but that was glitchy and slow, so I decided to get this to have it on my home computer. It was a bit of a pain to install because it does not have CD, it just gives you a code. As of 2015 when I purchased this, instead of having a dedicated website to download the student version you had to poke around on the website, which was not super intuitive. Once the download started it was fairly straightforward. You do have to enter an academic email address, so you cannot use a yahoo or Gmail address, but I had no issues getting it to work once I found the download link on the website.

    It works but I am having a hard time understanding what I am supposed to be doing. Also it took me days to download successfully because it kept saying something was unavailable and so I was unable to download it

    I bought this here because I was hoping for an actual CD, I was mailed a card with an activation number instead.

    I bought this at all so I could learn to program visual stimuli with psychtoolbox at home. I haven't gotten to that yet because:
    % CAUTION: Psychtoolbox *will not work* yet with 64 bit versions of Matlab
    % or Octave on Microsoft Windows. It will work with 64 bit Matlab and
    % Octave on Linux and 64-Bit Matlab on OSX, with 64-Bit Octave support on
    % OSX planned.

    So, I really have nothing to say about how the program works because I haven't gotten it working yet.
    Yes, I tried to put some linux on my backup computer, but it turns out its intel video card is poorly unsupported and psychtoolbox refused to run with a chuggy video card. I will try again later once I get over the fact that I paid for this because octave doesn't work well with windows and it looks like I can't use this with windows either.

    Shipped quickly, made the process very simple. Just downloaded it once entering information into my MathWorks account. What I was a bit baffled by was the fact that it came in a package instead of through email. It came in a little package with instructions and a sticker with the code. However it's most likely for security reasons. It works great the little I have used it in the last two days since I revived it. It's nice especially as a student researcher.

    This expensive little activation key, I swear. Oh well. Now I don't have to rely on software remote every time I want to go on Matlab, so there's that. Also note that you have the option of downloading some of the past versions of Matlab when you put in the activation key and make an account on the website.

    Ich will hier nicht auf Matlab selbst eingehen, dass das Programm wirklich gut ist und der Goldstandart der Numerik ist, sollte bekannt sein. Ich möchte da Produkt kurz zu dem Download abgrenzen, den man online erhalten kann von der Website der Firma.

    Sie erhalten hier eine kleine Papp - Mappe, in der sich ein Code befindet und eine kurze Anleitung auf Englisch, was mit diesem Code zu tun ist. Es ist im Prinzip ganz einfach. Man erstellt sich auf der Seite von mathworks einen Account, dort findet man direkt ein Feld, in dem man seinen Code eingeben kann. Dann lädt die Software herunter und wird installiert. Für Windows und Mac einfach die Standartwerte durchklicken, wenn Sie Linux verwenden beachten sie Folgendes (und sparen sie sich 2 Stunden Zeit, die ich vergeudet habe): Es wird statt dem Programm nur ein Installer herunter geladen. Navigieren sie per Terminal zu dem Installer und führen Sie diesen als Root aus. Das sorgt dafür, dass das Programm ins "richtige" Verzeichnis installiert wird und nicht in ein Verzeichnis ihres aktuellen Benutzers. Wenn Sie den Installer als Root ausführen können Sie genau wie bein Mac und Windoof einfach durch die Defaults klicken. Also das vorher eingestellte einfach annehmen.

    Dieses Produkt ist genau richtig für alle, die keine Kreditkarte haben und demnach nicht online das Produkt erwerben können. Für meinen Teil gab es keine Probleme und ich konnte die Software sogar auf 2 Computer installieren, habe Zugang zu einem Trainingsportal erhalten und zu Matlab online, zusätzlich ein Jahr kostenlose Updates. Nicht schlecht. Und das für 82 Euro. Ich kann Matlab wirklich empfehlen, möchte aber nahe legen, dass Matlab viel Ram benötigt um wirklich flüssig zu laufen. 8GB oder mehr.

    Jeder MINT-Studi kennt und braucht Matlab in seinem Leben ich weiß nicht wie ohne dieses wunderbare Programm bis zum Master gekommen bin. Ob SImulation von Regelungen oder dem der Berechnung von Verbrauch anhand von Fahrzeugen anhand ihrer Kennwerte und einem Fahrzyklus. Matlab tut genau das was man ihm sagt aber halt auch nur das. Schade finde ich es das keine aussage darüber getroffen wird wie lange die Lizenz Gültig ist.
