My Nexus 6P started showing the dreaded shutdown issues. It would suddenly shut down from anything between 40% to 70%. So much so that I had to keep it connected to a charger to be able to do any meaningful task with it. With no good phones coming out recently and there being absolutely no other fault with the phone, I thought of replacing the battery myself. Finding a good battery can be the bane of the process. So one only has reviews from other people to go by when making the purchase.
The battery is clearly labeled MAXBEAR, so it does not claim to be a Huawei lookalike or anything. And honestly, I don;t care. Because I can keep replacing the battery whenever I feel like. It's not much of a hassle after doing it the first time. The battery is made to the specifications same as the OEM battery. So it fits perfectly. I found that the battery is actually about 2mm smaller in width than the OEM battery. Also, as other users have mentioned, the ribbon cable did misalign a tad bit, but nothing to be concerned about. The tools provided were helpful. You'd need the things provided if you don't have them from an earlier purchase.
Right after connecting, I turned on the phone and the battery had about 56% charge on it! Amazing. It's been 6 plus hours and the battery is down to about 46%. That is just amazing. My phone feels brand new. I've installed AccuBattery, and will post results after at least 10 days. For now, I am super happy with my purchase.

Purchased this battery to replace the factory one in my Nexus 6P hoping it would solve the early shut down issue I was having. Within minutes of taking phone off charger, the old battery would drop from 90+ to 70% then 45% within minutes. At that point, the phone powered down and shut off until I charged it again. It would charge, then repeat the process of dropping off rapidly and shutting down. The battery is somewhat difficult to access, but the tool kit that was included for Free with the new battery was extremely helpful. There are instructional videos on YouTube. Applying enough heat to remove the glued parts is critical and you might consider ordering a new glass strip that covers the camera lens and screws. Once the old one is out, the new one fits perfectly with all connection wires aligning just right. Once reassembled, it powered up and turned on without any problem. I didn't use the phone heavily to avoid stressing the new battery. Letting it discharge slowly, I waited until it was around 5% before I gave it it's first full charge. I let it go through the full cycle, waiting for the battery to get very low before putting it on the charger. I couldn't believe how long it took for the battery to discharge and drop off. My phone has not shut down or rapidly lost it's charge since installing the new battery. I am getting better battery life, by far, than when the phone was new. The battery has been nothing less than outstanding for me! There have been no glitches or problems with any functions or features since installing. My phone is better than it was new because this battery performs better than the factory original. I took a picture of the tool kit included after removing the original. I will update if anything changes, but as of now, I couldn't be happier with the purchase of this battery.
