I purchased these because the colors were exactly what I was looking for and there were no others like these on Amazon. These are soooo cute and they do exactly what you expect them to!
A couple things to be mindful of:
1) Opacity between colors varies. While your desired end result might be achieved with 2 coats for green or blue, it may need more for purple and white. Those are the two and only extremely transparent ones. The rest all have a good color payoff with one coat.
2) WORK IN THIN LAYERS AND CURE FOR LONGER THAN YOU THINK!!!!! You may want to paint on a thick layer to get to your desired color faster but this will only make everything 10x harder for you. Not only is uncured gel on your nails very unhealthy and puts you at risk for developing a gel allergy, but when you go to add another coat, the uncured gel will stick to your polish brush and make like a gel booger that you’ll have to wipe off onto something and you’ll most likely have to clean your nail off entirely and start over. I cured for 120 seconds minimum, sometimes more, per coat.
My photo shows what the color payoff was in different coats. Cuticle end of the nail shows 1 coat, middle of the nail shows 2 coats, and free edge of nail shows 3 coats.
Note: Purple is SO sheer that i put a 4th coat on the very very tip. This is probably the most sheer of all the gels in my opinion. Then the “apricot” shade comes next in sheerness. I’m not sure why they named it apricot, it’s more of a cream white to me.
I love these and can’t wait to use them when my other gel polishes come in. I learned what I needed to when swatching and I hope this was helpful to someone!
