This controller WILL work for Mortal Kombat X for PS4.

    Here's How:

    1. There are six switches on the back, when you get it, flip the 4th switch. (The 1st in the 2nd group of 3.) If you don't flip the switch, It will work fine, but you can't use it in local multiplayer. Every time you press "up", it will assign itself to the other profile.

    2. Have the PS4 on and MKX already running.

    3. Plug the PS2 pad into the adapter and the adapter into the PS4.

    4. You'll get a message saying you can't use wireless PS3 controllers, ignore it. Shortly after, you'll get a pop up saying you've connected a legacy controller and it is assigned to your profile. Press X on the DS4.

    5. Press "Analog" on the PS2 pad if it isn't already lit up. You should now be able to use the directional buttons with no problem, but the action buttons will be switched. (Circle=X, Square=Circle, X=Square, Triangle is unchanged.)

    6. Use the DS4 to navigate to your wireless presets and edit the new preset using your PS2 pad to put the correct buttons where they should be.

    And you're done.

    Tips:

    1. Do not try to navigate the menus using the PS2 controller. You will make a mistake and accidentally log out of WBID, or back out of character select on accident. Just use the DS4 to make all decisions until you have selected your character and variation, then pick up the PS2 pad and play.

    2. If you happen to be player 2, you can hit the Home button on the Adapter to switch profiles to yours.

    3. Options is now Start and the Touchpad is Select, so you can still reset in Practice and toggle theater view in KOTH.

I bought this as a means to use my PS3's Dualshock 3 controller on my Xbox 360. I have small hands and I find the 360 controller too cumbersome sometimes. I also like how the Dualshocks R1 and L1 buttons are similar to mouse buttons, making it easy for me to burst fire in FPS games. However after trying it out, I found that in certain 360 games, the trigger configuration cannot be swapped; i.e. RT to RB, or in the Dualshock's case, R1 to R2. Which means I can't use R1 as a trigger when playing on the 360. Oh well.
However, the adapter functions well. So far, I'm not suffering any input lag at all. Great product, I would recommend getting this. Just be warned that depending on the game, the triggers cannot be swapped.
The turbo functions well, good for a few laughs in multiplayer. However Sixaxis functions will not work (Duh) when using a 360 controller on ps3.

Ok, so this adapter is crazy expensive, but compared to the cheap ones IT ACTUALLY WORKS. I bought this to use with my aging RedOctane Ignition dancepad and Stepmania. A previous adapter I used for a few months developed a short and stopped working reliably with my Mac (it worked most of the time with Windows). On first use, it gave me the directional button error (DDR/Stepmania players will recognize this as the thing where it won't let you step on two arrows at once), but using the guide that came with it, I clicked the third switch on the back to "on", plugged it back in and it works great! I particularly that the USB cable is about 3 ft/1 meter long, giving you a little extra room without putting strain on your setup. I am pleasantly surprised that this actually seems worth the investment. Happy dancing!

I got this for my Xbox 360 console so I could plug my PS2 Steering Wheel in my Xbox 360. Does not work at all. Very upsetting because the info on this said it would work for a PS2 Steering wheel! Dont waste you money on this, its not worth it. The instructions for setting it up are very poor too, they make no sence at all!

    Reason For Purchase:
After it became to painful on my thumbs to play Soul Calibur III on my PS2 using the D-Pad, I eventually replaced the official PS2 controller for a Gamestop brand PS2 controller for it's much improved D-Pad and more confortable shoulder buttons. Unfortunately that same controller design used with the PS2 would pass over onto the PS3 and nothing but the SIXAXIS function, Home Button, and wireless design were changed. The horrible D-Pad and Shoulder Buttons were still intact. I recently purchased BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PS3 (the only system it released for) and having played the series so far on the ever reliable Xbox 360 controller, I expected issues. And there were. Moves I could pull off most of the time on the 360's concave Left Control Stick were beyond impractical to even attempt with the PS3's D-Pad or convex Left Control Stick, and if you've ever played Soul Calibur AND BlazBlue, you'd know that BlazBlue demands MUCH faster and more precise input with commands that more heavily use the Left Control Stick. The PS3 controller was going to kill my hands. So I bought this.

    Results:
With no fiddling around, all I have to do is plug the adapter into the PS3 and the Xbox 360 controller into the adapter and after a second or two, BAM, light comes on and I'm playing BlazBlue like it was on Xbox 360. No lag or discrepencies with any buttons, the Xbox Guide Button takes the place of the Playstation Home Button and the only sacrifice is that you can't use the controller to turn on the system. Other than that...

Xbox 360 Controllers work with BlazBlue on PS3.

A simple unplug of the 360 controller and plugin of the Gamestop PS2 controller confirm the same thing. Even though the controller has no Home Button, the adapter's own Home Button fulfills the same function. Everything checks out.

PS2 Controllers work with BlazBlue on PS3 (though the 360 is still better).

Here's where it gets sticky though: I tried the Mayflash Universal Adapter with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix.
My conclusion is: PS2 Controllers work with KH1.5HD on PS3, Xbox 360 Controllers ALMOST work.

Everything seems to work just fine, EXCEPT how the PS3 reads the control sticks. Using the control sticks to move straight vertically or horizontally there are no problems, but as soon as you swing the camera around and try moving diagonally Sora immediately reverts to a walking pace even with the control stick tilted to it's max, this happens any time you try moving the control stick anywhere other than up, down, left, or right. Unfortunately, this easily damns the 360 Controller as inferior to even a basic PS2 controller.

So, in summary: The Mayflash Universal Adapter makes using your PS2 Controller on your PS3 easy, but the Xbox 360 Controller may only work properly with certain PS3 games. I have not tried the adapter with Xbox 360 or PC.
