I realize this item is listed as water repellent and not waterproof, however, I did not expect water on the floor every time a shower is taken. The water that splashes on it goes right through the material and ends up on the floor. Very disappointed with the quality and performance of this product. I will be replacing it as soon as possible.

This curtain has magnets only on the ends so that when the shower is running the curtain billows into the space. I’m trying to decide whether to discard it or to search for some magnets I can sew into the bottom to see if it works. Given the price I paid, probably not worth it

UPDATE. Adjusted shower so some of the spray hits the curtain Fixed the problem of flaring out into the shower

No More Plastic Liners for Me

I'm trying to figure out why I ever bought those plastic shower curtain liners that are nearly impossible to clean and look so nasty! No more of those for me! It is so nice to be able to easily pop these curtains in the washer (following the washing instructions on the label) and have a clean fresh shower curtain liner. This curtain seems to be well made and repels water just fine. So far I have not experienced "static cling" while using it and it didn't seem to carry any strange odors when I opened the package. I believe I received much better value buying this liner rather than another one of those plastic liners because it should hold up for many years as long as I care for it properly. Love it!

First off, I'm a germaphobe about bathrooms. I hate dirty bathrooms, for some reason the shower shower curtain and I always seem to battle. The ones I've used in the past claimed to be washable, yet they never were the same afterwards. Then one day I thought about using the kind similar to hotels.

Enter this curtain. I love it. A lot. I love that I can wash it in warm or hot soapy water and it comes out sparkling white and smelling fresh. I use a bit of oxyclean in with it alone, and then I don't have to bleach it (which would degrade the fabric and cause it to breakdown faster). This curtain does an excellent job repelling the water, and doesn't fly around like the plastic counterparts do. I hated it when the curtain would touch me as I was showering. That does not happen anymore. Yay!

If you're looking for a great washable shower curtain then you really should look at this one.

I love this liner!! For years and years I have used a white vinyl liner, and have just held my breath waiting for it to need replacing (often). This is a game changer LOL!! I was in a hotel, and the light bulb went on over my head when I realized that almost every hotel I've visited uses a FABRIC liner. I ordered this, and I am very happy. I have a tight bathroom...... The toilet sits next to the tub. Plus, I have a bowed rod that reaches out so the shower curtain is even closer to the toilet. As a result, I have to keep the shower curtain and liner pulled back. This was always a struggle with the vinyl liner, but this fabric liner works beautifully! The inside is wet at the end of a shower, but it doesn't seep through. I do not spray the water directly ON the liner, though, so if someone was to do that, I suppose the fabric would get wet through-and-through. After a shower, I keep the curtain pulled closed across the rod for an hour or two to let it air dry.

I initially purchased this fabric shower curtain liner for its machine-washable capability. So washability is its only positive aspect. It took well to a light spray of water-vinegar mixture to help ward of mildew, and washed nicely in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. I hanged it back up to air dry.

As for it's performance as a shower curtain liner it is very disappointing and I DON'T recommend it to others to buy. I now understand why they call it water "repellant" as opposed to waterproof, but I would still expect a shower liner to handle more water splash than it did (although I did see other reviews say their "waterproof"-advertised versions were ineffective as well). So if you have a very small shower, you probably should not get this curtain liner as you really want to avoid as much big water spashes onto it as possible. It can handle light splash, but will definitely flood your floor if your shower head is spraying directly onto it. Ok, if my shower were huge that I don't have to worry about splashing on it, then it would be fine to hold on to it for longer, but I feel I've given it a fair 6 months trial to determine it's just not a good product in general-just think, would you want a raincoat that lets the rain soak through??

Oh and another feature the curtain has are the weights on the two bottom corners. Since my shower tub does not work with magnets I cannot say if the magnets work, but i do know that the weight is heavy enough to keep the corners down, BUT you will still find that the rest of the curtain will billow and float from the heat and steam because the curtain is so light. So two magnetic weights on the corners are not really enough, you would need more along the bottom to keep the rest from floating outward.

So the white color I bought it in was nice, let a lot of light through, and it was easy to wash. But damn it was so ineffective as a shower curtain that I can't consider it a shower curtain, it might as well be a bed sheet! Gonna switch this shower liner out as soon as I buy a replacement, and definitely NOT buying this one again.

I was getting tired of the cheap dollar-store shower curtain liners I kept having to toss due to them getting dirty and looking moldy (even if it wasn't quite technical mold).

I decided to splurge on a proper shower curtain liner and after much research, settled on this one. I decided on black as it would not look as dirty as white, quickly. Although I was initially concerned it might make the shower too dark, it has not. If anything, it adds an air of unique elegance to it.

This shower curtain is fantastic and I wish I'd bought one sooner. Unlike the cheap plastic ones, no time is needed to 'air out' the curtain - there is zero chemical/plastic smell from this Maytex Water Repellent Fabric Shower Curtain. I like how the water essentially beads off this fabric curtain. It's easy to wash as well - just toss it in the laundry.

So far, so excellent. This is a really good-quality shower curtain that is impressive right out of the package, and continues to be impressive, given how it can be machine-washed.

Bought this fabric curtain which is easily machine washable, also bought a snap button kit and added snap buttons to my shower curtain so that I could easily remove and wash my liner. LIFE CHANGING. Got the idea from hotels that have something similar but when I looked for those curtains I found out you can’t use your own and the selection sucked. #toogaytofunction

PS, don’t put in the dryer for more than a few minutes, dries super quick
