It's an interesting and friendly read. If you really know nothing about business, it might be a good place to start. If you already have a little experience (e.g. working for a few years) you might not get much from this book.
The five forces framework (Porter), value chain, core competence (Hamel), useful ideas for networking, self improvement, and personal advancement (learning groups, lecturing, mentors etc), pricing - perception of value (talk less about cost and more about value - boost perceived value), price and positioning, price and market value, price and elasticity, strategy - long term plan which has a definite goal in mind, guide to sources of great strategies, Good is no longer good enough (Seth Godin) - only a passionate team can make your Organisation outstanding, Kaizen, improving your standards, the new world of work (acceleration - slow down to the speed of your greatest asset - your thinking), how to start a high end successful consultancy, financial analysis - take into account the culture of the organisation as well, automation (hard vs soft communication, organizational soul, empathy as essential to some positions - customer service as an e.g.
The book is alright. Nothing great nor awfully wrong about it. The book needs some editing. Apart from them, not everyone can apply these 10 instant MBA lessons. Somebody who is an entrepreneur needs a whole new concept from what's being written here.
I stopped reading midway. It wasn't worth my time but it might be useful for someone else.
