Because I bought from different sellers, Salama arrived first. When I tried them on I noticed something was not right about them. These are my first MBTs and waited for the Habari pair to compare. Once I had them both, I could tell exactly what I had noticed. The Salama's insoles do not promote a smooth movement. Instead of feeling one curved plane supporting my foot, it feels like two soft curved planes (one mid arch and front and the other one mid arch to the back)divided by a hard bar. It feels like stepping on a power line every single step.
I honestly do not think these were designed like this, I am sure this is a "defective lot". Yikes! Whatever the reason, this does not make me happy at all. I understand that making MBT shoes in China is cheaper but, because they have the same prices as if they were made in Switzerland, I was expecting they were going to have also the same quality.
By the way, the seller of Salama was Amazon... it makes me wonder if it gets lower prices by buying this kind of batches
I am very disappointed overall because of this experience but I will give my Habari a chance, they really feel great.
By the way, the seller of Salama is Amazon. It makes me wander if one way to offer lower prices is by buying this kind of production batches.
