I bought these after trying them on at the Walking Store ($250). They were so comfortable. I had a pair of "EARTH" shoes previously and ended up with incredible pain in my arch which sent me to my primary doc for an X-ray and anti-inflammatory medication.

This shoe is different. I wore them to work the first day and was standing up much straighter. I noticed a little pain in my hip at the end of the day which I figure was due to not slouching. I then went to London and walked for miles. They were incredibly comfortable. My feet and legs never got tired and I wore them without socks - no smelly or sweaty feet at all. Very comfortable for work and my posture is so much better.

It was not hard for me to get used to these - my heel feels secure and I am not wobbly at all.

This is my second pair of MBTs and they are pretty comfortable. My first ones are sandles with open toes and I wanted something with closed toes so I could wear with more things. My other MBTs were comfortable from day one but these took a little time to break in. If I wear them all day, my feet do get blistered. The top part seems to rub on my foot, the area above the big toe, and irritate my skin. My feet also hurt the first few times I wore these on the bottom part. I'm not sure if it is due to the holes in the cushioning or what. The insert does come out but it leaves it without cushioning. I guess this is if you wanted to put in your own insoles / padding. I tried it with some Dr. Scholl's but it didn't work too well. I'm going to get some better ones and try it again. I would recommend getting this shoe in a half size bigger because after a while they might start feeling too tight. I normally wear a 7 (also in my other MBTs) but I had to get a 7.5 in these.
Overall I would get this shoe again because I do like the way they look and they are great for walking around but they do take a little time to break in. If these didn't require any breaking in time and leave my feet with blisters, they would get a 5 star rating.

MBTs saved my feet!

Before I bought my first pair of MBTs, osteoarthritis in one foot and plantar fascitis in the other were limiting my ability to walk. MBTs made an immediate difference and gave me back the ability to walk all day without foot pain -- not only that, lower back pain also lessened. If my feet are ever giving me problems, I wear MBTs for a day and the pain goes away. They've made a believer out of me!

However, they are rather heavy-looking shoes, so they don't go with all outfits. Even this Sirima, which is about as sleek as MBTs get, is not still not high-style, but it is attractive for a casual shoe.

Although MBTs seem very heavy when you hold them, they do not feel that way on your feet. They give much better arch support than shoes with similarly shaped soles, e.g. Skechers. They last forever, even with hard use, and I think the company will resole them (haven't had to do this yet).

THE CONS: They tend to run wide, so if you have a narrow foot like me (AA), look for an adjustable style. (Even though the Sirima is wide, it does stay on my foot and aligned very well.) They are not especially good for broken-ground walking, as relatively little of the sole is on the ground at any one time.

MBTs are relatively expensive, but very well made and overall good value.

I really wonder if they are worth the expense though because the 'value' written on the customs label said $100 with $39.97 postage and fees and I paid $232.99 including shipping and customs (with a $7 refund afterwards). I wrote to shoeparlor about this but never received a reply!

These shoes are awesome! They are as promised, super comfortable. First of all you don't need to break them in. I've had them for a week now and I haven't experienced any blisters or discomfort with or without socks. I've spent 2 days walking around Hong Kong which is very hilly and they have protected my feet and especially my bad knee every well. I'm so pleased with them I've just order another pair of MBT shoes, the Habari for the summer.

One thing I didn't like which has nothing to do with the shoes, is that I had to pay for delivery considering they cost $265, I think delivery should be free.

I love MBTs, Took away my intense sciatic pain 5 years ago. I have been buying the normal half size bigger which for me would be an 8. The sirima is bigger than normal. I could have gotten a 71/2. Don't know if company is adjusting sizes. I bought 3 pairs of 8s this summer-no problem. sirima are good looking for a MBT and could even be worn with skirt while traveling.

Wegen eines Rückenproblems habe ich letzten Herbst ein Paar MBTs (Tatonka) in einem Fachgeschäft gekauft. Über 200 Euro für ein Paar Schuhe ist viel Geld, aber die Investition hat sich gelohnt. Nun wollte ich für Frühjahr/Sommer ein leichteres Modell (für etwas weniger Geld, bei Amazon) kaufen und habe mich für Sirima entschieden. Auch hier derselbe Effekt wie bei den Tatonka: Die Wirbelsäule kommt dank der abgerundeten Sohle automatisch ins Lot, sodass diese Art Haltungsschäden und die daraus evtl. resultierenden Rückenschmerzen weg fallen. Auch gehe ich leichter oder einfach weicher auf MBTs, weil die Sohle den harten Asphalt abfedert. Als es kürzlich etwas wärmer wurde habe ich ein paar "normale" Ballerinas angezogen, um einen direkten Vergleich zu haben. Die Rückenschmerzen kamen sehr schnell wieder und ich war froh, diese Schuhe schnellstmöglich wieder ausziehen zu können.
Beim Kauf der Tatonka hatte mir die Verkäuferin gesagt, dass man keine anderen Schuhe mehr tragen möchte, wenn man die MBTs einmal ausprobiert hat. Ich dachte mir, das ist leeres Blabla, typischer Verkäufer-Sprech eben. Aber in der Zwischenzeit muss ich zugeben, dass die Frau Recht hatte. Zumindest für mich sind MBTs ideal. Allerdings bin ich froh, das ich mein allererstes Paar in einem Fachgeschäft mit entsprechender Beratung gekauft habe. Dort konnte ich verschiedene Modelle ausprobieren, die ersten drei fand ich gewöhnungsbedürftig, dann schlüpfte ich in die Tatonkas und hatte das Gefühl, auf Wolken zu gehen.

Zum Glück sind die MBTs in er Zwischenzeit nicht mehr ganz so grob und unförmig wie noch vor ein paar Jahren - ich habe mich lange gegen diese Art Schuhe gesträubt, weil ich dachte, die Träger/-innen sehen aus, als hätten sie ein schwerwiegendes orthopädisches Problem. Die Sirima sind zwar nicht das, was ich als 'elegant' bezeichnen würde, aber für MBT-Verhältnisse kommen sie diesem Kriterium schon einigermaßen nahe. Auf jeden Fall kann ich sie sehr gut sowohl zu Hosen als auch Röcken tragen.

Der langen Rede kurzer Sinn: Ich bin mit den Sirima sehr zufrieden, würde sie auch als Option wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wohlgemerkt als 'Option', also einfach mal reinschlüpfen und ausprobieren - denn bei dieser Art von Schuhen muss die (zukünftige) Trägerin oder der Träger selber entscheiden, ob es sich gut anfühlt und das Richtige für sie oder ihn ist.

Also ich wollte schon immer mal MBT-Schuhe haben, und hab lange gezögert, welche zu kaufen. Ist ja schon ein stattlicher Preis, wenn man wie ich, Schuhe nicht ewig hat. Hier hab ich nun doch zugegriffen, da das ein Vorjahresmodell ist und demzufolge viel günstiger.
Der Schuh läßt sich super tragen, am Anfang hat er ein wenig vorn am Fuß gedrückt, das hat sich aber schnell gegeben, liegt wahrscheinlich daran, dass ich sehr breite Füße habe. Aber, er ist eben auch für breite Füße geeignet.Oben ist er verstellbar, ist Klettverschluß, also einfach zu händeln und leiert nicht aus wie vielleicht ein Druckknopf.
Ich bin nun Liebhaber dieser Marke und werde wohl nichts anderes wieder kaufen. (Hab jetzt auch Turnschuhe,die mußte ich nicht mal einlaufen, die paßten sofort).
