The alarm set functions are simple - some other pill minders practically need detailed instructions to set the time and alarms, but this one is simple: using the rotating switch, just select the alarm you want to set and press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons. No problem.
My only quibble is that there's no battery backup (with small watch-type batteries as some timers have) to maintain the alarms when the two AAA batteries wear out - but since the alarms are really so simple and easy to reset, it's just a quibble.
For MOST people, even seniors, this pill box is an over kill. But if you have to take medications at exact times, up to four a day, it's worth the price.
I should mention that the alarms are not very loud. Also, it might need help setting it if your hands are weak or you have trouble concentrating.
