Ceramic Housing for Accurate Sound Reproduction
Simultaneously groundbreaking and breathtaking, the MEElectronics CC51 are a first of their kind to use ceramic housing to such dramatic effects and are a must-have earphone for casual or passionate audiophiles. With its unconventional ceramic housing, the CC51 not only looks sleek and stylish, but also eliminates resonance resulting in a clear and clean sound. The CC51s are designed to be in a class of their own with its beautiful ceramic housing and innovative engineering. Using a new 6.0mm micro-driver that delivers full, accurate, detailed sound, the CC51 is then housed in ceramic to further eliminate resonance that might cause distortion-inducing harmonics. The result is a stunningly sleek and sexy earphone with a fantastic sound production to match.
Ceramic is an extremely hard and durable material that does not resonate in audible audio frequencies like other housings, resulting in a very clean, clear, ear-pleasing sound, and holds up extremely well to wear and tear, while looking fantastic. With the CC51's driver being located very close to the ear, driver size does not limit the reproduction of full-ranged sound.
- Acoustically inert ceramic housing has no resonance in the audio frequencies resulting in a very natural and accurate sound
- Just the right amount of bass - not too much, yet not lacking, translating well for all genres of music
- Choose between two classic color options of pearl white or ebony black that make the CC51 visually stunning to look at
- White gives you the clean Apple look, while black gives you the feel of sleek and expensive ceramic watches
If you are looking for natural, pleasant sound with a little extra boost in the bass to go along with very natural tone and timbre, look no further than the CC51Ps. The powerful, yet balanced full-range 6.0 mm micro-driver deliver high levels of accuracy and dynamics while maintaining accurate sound and detail without overpowering the rest of the spectrum.
Ideal for all genres of music, movies, audio books, phone conversations, and anything else you listen to.
Passive Noise Cancelation
In-ear design effectively isolates you from outside sounds allowing you to hear your music clearly at lower volumes which can protect you from hearing loss.
The solid-colored cable is robust, stylish, tangle resistant, and minimizes cable noise during movement. The black model of the CC51 features black cable, while the white model of the CC51 features white cable.
4 Sets of Ear Tips
Four sets of ear tips give you more variety to find one that works best for your ears. Ear tips include: standard bi-flange tips that fit most ears and three sizes of standard silicone ear tips.
The black model of the CC51 carries black ear tips, while the white model of the CC51 carries clear ear tips.
High quality carrying case gives your earphones protection when not in use and even fits some small players and/or other accessories for safe keeping.
The CC51 has a 1 year warranty and MEElectronics stands behind their products! If you are not satisfied with your earphone, contact MEElectronics to help resolve your issues.
Achieve Perfect Fit and Seal
In-Ear Fit Guide
Sound quality and bass response are dependent on the seal achieved between the ear tips and your ear canal. Please try the various sizes of ear tips included with your earphone to determine which gives you the best sound and comfort. The sound may change depending on the insertion depth and tip size.
To achieve proper insertion, pull up and back on the top of your ear (helix) and/or use a slight bit of lubrication/moisture on the outer part of the ear tips, which will help achieve the proper insertion depth and angle. If you feel your MEE earphones do not have bass or sound tinny, the fit and/or seal is more than likely problematic. You can visit the MEElectronics online product manual for more information and assistance.
Many owners have stated that the sound may improve with use when compared to the out of the box sound. This change in sound will occur with normal listening and is not necessary; however you can accelerate this process by playing music at a normal volume continuously for the first several days.

Please keep in mine that this is my opinion based on my subjective ability to hear, as well as my preferences. I received this as a review pair from MEE, they can be purchased on their website for $79.99. Primarily I am a classical music listener, because of this my bias is for analytical, balanced phones. Please keep this in mind. However I listened to a lot of non-classical music for this review as I recognize that is the proper context for these IEM's. With that said the genres I listened to varied, from Prog Rock, Rock, Jazz, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Down-tempo, Vocal, Pop, Folk, Country (Little Big Town). Equipment used was a Rockboxed Clip, Rockboxed Fuze, and a Dell latitude E4300 Laptop, files used were MP3 VBR -0, 320K and streaming 192k Shoutcast.
* Driver: 6.0 mm micro-drivers
* Housing: Ceramic housing with aluminum nozzle
* Frequency Response: 18Hz - 20KHz
* Sensitivity: 98 dB
* Impedance: 16 ohms
* Maximum Power Input: 5 mW
* Connector: 3 pin stereo 3.5mm gold plated 90° plug
* Cable: solid color 130 cm cord (51 in) with attached shirt clip
* Accessories: 4 sets of silicone ear tips (small/medium/large; bi-flange), clamshell zipper case
The Packaging was different then what I am used to from MEE, the box was thin cardboard, the headphones were nestled in plastic that is felt lined. A nice change of pace from the clear all plastic box I am used to. No tools were needed to open the box.
Small Medium Large and dual flange tips are included as well as a clamshell case and shirt Clip. As noted on their website, please be careful when removing the shirt clip.Read more ›
Accessories (4/5) - It comes with a carrying case and multiple silicone earbuds (the ones already installed worked best for me). Would have liked to have seen a triple flange and a foam option, but what was packaged is working out nicely so far.
Build Quality (4/5) - I'm no designer, but these are the most attractive IEMs I've owned. The ceramic (hard to find in the US below $200) build feels sturdy, but the cord breaks from typical MEElectronics design and is thinner than I would have liked, though so far relatively tangle resistant. Word of caution! DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE SHIRT CLIP! Many a reviewer, much less a plebe like myself has stripped the cable trying to remove it.
Isolation (5/5) - Doesn't get any better than this.Read more ›
The CC51's resemble the Apple IEM's (the $79 model) however are actually even more beautiful thanks to the ceramic casing of the earbuds themselves.
Sound wise I would compare them favorably to the very popular Klipsch S4's. In fact I purchased the CC51's because my S4's broke on me. Comfort wise I still give the S4's the edge. I've tried the 4 silicone ear tips and none of them are as comfortable as what the S4's offer. Still they are comfortable enough.
MEElectronics is not a widely known company however they seem to produce very well reviewed headphones and I see big things in their future.
The wire of these headphones is super thin and I worry about its durability. There is also an attached shirt clip which was a bad decision by MEElectronics. They should have made this an accessory that you can attach if desired vs. standard. Do not rip off the shirt clip. It will damage the wire. Instead you'll need to break off the clip if you don't want it on the wire before you attempt to detach it from the headphones themselves.
Earbuds, as I've sadly learned, are only as good as they last you. Unlike the Klipsch S4's the CC51's come with a one-year warranty. I strongly suggest you save your receipt and just hope your earphones don't break.Read more ›
