I keep a 3.5' Argentine red tegu in this, and after a few months I'm very happy with how it has held up. He spends a good amount of time scratching at the walls and hasn't even caused any scratches, much less any tears. Head and humidity are retained quite well and no light escapes when all vents are shut. Those of you growing plants in this enclosure should have no worries, considering plants don't try to escape constantly
Very well constructed and simple to put together. I've been growing in it for about 5 weeks now, and it's held up perfectly. It fits inside a closet and keeps my plants quite comfortable. The peppers have been quite happy, but remember to keep your tent ventilated to prevent water blisters (the plants expect more evaporation than they get in an enclosed tent). I've been using 2 of these $20 LED panel growlights with about 4-5 hours of 'night' for the plants. The lettuce is just growing in lasagna tins on the shelf w/ about 2.5-3" of soil, and the pepper plants are using 3 gal fabric pots. The trays are rotated both front to back and top to bottom once a day.

I like this tent as far a quality build in general for the price. The big thing that is missing is access doors on the sides and back. This makes it SUPER hard to manage any plants in the back or in a back corner. The pictures suggest that there is access to the sides and back of the tent. For that reason I don't think this is a good tent to have if you need to manage several plants as the size of the tent would allow. You would need to leave 'walking space' in the back and sides. This is not good. Light in an indoor farm is expensive (price of the light and energy to run the lights) and precious. You want as little light to hit the floor as possible. That will be the trade off with this tent. Other wise it is a good tent. It is a tripping hazard when walking in and out. The zipper leaves a 9 1/2 - 10 inch lip that you will trip over Repeatedly. Its annoying AF. The lack of doors on the side and back may lead me to send it back if I can find the box. I think it got recycled FML. Good quality TERRIBLE design.
For the people saying its hard to put together probably have never done a puzzle before. It just takes time and just a bit of patience. Got mine together pretty fast. Only con is my cat likes try to use his nails on it. It holds up very well. I ran into this thing several times hard and nothing happens. Very sturdy. The towels attached to the side are to prevent my cat from tearing into it.

The worst part about this grow tent are the directions, they are literally the worst directions I've ever read in my life. The model that is in the instruction manual is mislabeled, and by that I mean that the tubes labeled, A, B and C on the second page are included in incorrect quantities, there are not 8 Tubes-A, there are four, and there is no mention of tubes labeled D, in which there are also four. For two things, there are two models within this instruction manual that I didn't buy, so I obviously ignored that, but more than that they are irrelevant to me, I don't know why they're there. Second of all, the way the parts are listed in the box, and how they are listed in the manual are different, and if you could imagine, can cause some confusion. More than that, the first couple pictures of the tent taken in person are misleading. It makes you think the tent is more square on the bottom than it actually is, and that's false advertising if I've ever seen it. It may be intentional, as it is modeled this way in your instruction manual as well. In the last picture it displays all of the exact dimensions, which is good, but It is not right to mislead people with the first two images. The one time I actually read the instructions, I get this mess of a manual, can you believe it?!
Very durable...priced accordingly in the Market and shipping was prompt and customer service has been in touch within 24 hours of delivery. This sort of Product has become a dime a dozen...However Melonfarm has taken the time to get it right with correct hole placement and outside material. I am 6'5 so even in building the frame and sliding the bottom under it and draping the side up over the top assembly was easy. It does give you instructions on setting up the tent by laying it on its side and rolling the frame into the tent which looks easy too.
My only complaint about the product is that I would like the waterproof tray in the bottom to have a true 4 corners sewn into true 90 corners...so it's a tray and not a blanket..I'm not sure if mine was sewn incorrectly or that is by design.
For one I am okay with the product, but it could use improvements. The window covers come completely off and they do not roll up. This is a feature I like from other products similar to this one. Another the top ventilation holes on the sides were a little too tight for 6" vent ducting. Also, the material that was used for the vent hole covers feels a little weak. I think this product was a little over priced compared to others I have from other manufacturers. It will most likely satisfy anyone in need of a tent but you can find better quality for about the same price as this one.
Assembly was a little frustrating since the instructions are very general and apply to many different tent sizes. Getting the tent over the frame wasn’t too difficult.if you are putting this in a closet, consider building it in there as it can be very difficult to push in after assembled. Also, put the bottom air flaps up prior if that’s your need. The tent has obvious light leaks, some large pin hole ones then lots along the zipper, which is also very stiff as mentioned in other reviews. Another support bar would be optimum but they only give you two of each length.
I have a 60"x60"x70" Vivosun Grow tent. It was my first tent and had a few Pin holes that I had to fix. Over all it has been a good tent. But I decided I needed more room so now my son will get the Vivosun. And I ordered This 96"x48"x80'' MelonFarm Tent that is absolutely amazing compared to the Vivosun.. Better material, No pin holes, easy to assemble, $40 cheaper then the Vivosun and twice the tent! I am sure that a Gorilla Tent is the next step.. but I can't understand why you would spend 7 times the money! Dark is Dark right?
A single mesh breather vent isn't gonna cut it for many users. Luckily, this is merely a drying tent for me, and my humidity sensor/controller can mount outside because of its remote sensor, and the exhaust fan cord goes out the upper portal where it's mounted. It works fine if I need to exhaust extra humidity.
But if I want to add humidity to the room, I now need a power cord to run up and out one of the exhaust ports and back down to the wall outlet.
As this is only a drying tent for me, it is of little concern, and I have cords if I need them, and I don't need a booster fan for a drying tent, but I imagine others may want to know about this ahead of time.
The straps provided are beyond useless they are dangerous. A huge fire hazard. I literally, not figuratively, literally, would not trust them to hold up a 60w light bulb never mind a 10lb light and reflector. Throw em right in the trash. No reason to even include them.
