"Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress"
Is the world really falling apart? Is the ideal of progress obsolete? Cognitive scientist and public intellectual Steven Pinker urges us to step back from the gory headlines and prophecies of doom, and instead, follow the data: In seventy-five jaw-dropping graphs, Pinker shows that life, health, prosperity, safety, peace, knowledge, and happiness are on the rise. An awesome resource book.
The book is written in memoir style straight from the mouth of "MacKenzie." It is also generously illustrated with sketches hand drawn by" Mac" throughout his long career. This book does a great job "connecting the dots" of all the individual players you've learned of in your reading.
If you are easily offended by open description of sexuality this book is not for you. In no way is it pornographic. MacKenzie just lets the whole story "hang out" so to speak. I find it lends a great credibility and a lot of human element to the plot.
The work is Historical Documentary, that is , Real History! Don't waste your money on garbage fiction by Steven King because its amusing.
Authors like Richard Hooke have devoted their whole lives to exposing the "real" history of events.

it explains why jd tippett was frantically driving around after the murder, shows how ruby & oswald knew each way before this, how women who were familiar with ruby & oswald saw ruby hand oswald a gun after jfk's murder & oswald hop in car with mac wallace & frank sturges. why the gun ruby gave oswald gun with faulty pin so it wouldn't fire. white & tippett were going to gun down oswald in record store where they were supposed to meet to take oswald out of country
why there were 2 oswalds arrected at movie theater, why oswald was sitting next to different patrons in theater to find his contact. how ruby drove oswald to meetings planning the murder,
it talks about the safes houses to hide in right after killing how officer white (badge man) confiscated film of someone who filmed him & tippett shooting from knowl, how tippett was in tears after killing, why white put fatal bullet in tippett after another oswald? gunned him down
why 2 rifles were found, 1 german, where wallace another gunman & woman on walktie talkie were perched & 1 italian on 5th floor where oswald told mistress day before where he would hide it without firing it.
about more details of officer white & tippett, about 1 hit team in another building that george bush coordinated. about the meeting the night before at oilman clint m's house & people signing their names to 2 contracts, one for hoover, 1 for lbj, so that everyone would be in agreement.
how lbj wanted senator in kennedy car & both be killed, how mac was supposed to kill governor but when oswald didn't shoot & other shooter next to wallace intentionally shot over jfk because he had signed on for hit before he was told whom to kill, & he didn't want to kill jfk, how wallace seeing no head shots, took first shot at jfk's back then shot gov,
how umbrella man had paralyser so jfk's eyes would remain open for a demented trophy autopsy photo,
how 2 nearly simultaneous headshots, first from behind push head forward then, shot from front propel head back. if you watch french version of zapruda film on youtube you will see this double lurching, it was edited out in other versions of film.
this books reads credibly, authentically with unusual details that you would figure someone who witnessed this would have, how nixon met sturges night before killing, how hunt paid off sturges night before killing, walkie talkie woman details.
this is compelling, disturbing accouint how life & justice mattered so little to so many involved. how even 1 wife pleaeded night before killing with husband that he can't do it, jfk had 2 kids same age as they had, & how husband justified it.
this makes so much more sense then warren commission & points out things they omitted, like women seeing ruby hand gun to oswald after murder.
amazing book, tragic tale.

The possibilities it presents are certainly more plausible than what the Warren Commission stuffed down Americas throat.Read more
