Each MESH block has built-in functions to add sensors, internet connectivity, web services, and other devices to your project in an instant. MESH Motion is an app-enabled, infrared motion sensor that is useful for detecting the movement of people and animals. You can use MESH Motion to build motion-controlled projects that can trigger an action like a notification when motion is detected late at night in your home or a greeting when your DIY talking robot detects motion nearby.
Building a wireless electronic project requires a ton of knowledge, but with MESH there is no need for expertise in soldering or programming. With a MESH block in your toolkit, you can transform a project with smart features like motion-sensitivity, remote control, orientation monitoring, voice commands, or integrate gadgets like Amazon Echo, Philips Hue, NEST, WeMo, and more.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?
Our co-founder, Takehiro, was inspired to create MESH while hacking an alarm clock. "If only there was an easy way to make this gadget and everything in my home a little smarter," he thought. This is the moment MESH was born.
What makes your product special?
MESH is one of the simplest ways to use the Internet of Things in your everyday life. Instead of buying ten smart gadgets, you can design and build your own electronic gadgets with MESH blocks. Anyone can program electronic projects in our visual coding app which replaces soldering and programming. With just a tap, you can integrate MESH blocks with hundreds of gadgets and apps via Bluetooth (BLE) and IFTTT.
What has been the best part of your startup experience?
We love to see people’s wildest smart gadget ideas come to life with MESH. These ideas motivate and inspire us to keep finding new ways to make it easier for everyone to create electronics projects that are smart and personalized.
