Imusa Terracotta Tortilla Warmer
The Imusa 8" tortilla warmer serves as a traditional and decorative presentation piece for your next Mexican-Themed meal. Tortilla warmers are essential in the Mexican kitchen, used to keep tortillas hot, soft, & fresh for up to 1 hour. Tortillas have been used for many centuries, particularly in Mexico and more recently in the United States. The tortilla is consumed all year round, and are most commonly prepared with meat to make dishes such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. The Imusa terracotta tortilla warmer is the perfect serving dish for your next fiesta!
Easy To Use, simply
1. Place a damp paper towel in the Tortilla Warmer.
2. Place the Tortillas over the damp towel.
3. Place Tortilla container in the Microwave without the lid.
4. Follow your microwave cooking instructions for preparation time. The microwave cooking time should range between 30-60 seconds. First time users should start cooking time at 20 seconds and increment the time by 10 seconds until tortillas are hot.
5. With caution, remove from microwave and place lid on t he tortilla container to keep tortillas warm.
6. Enjoy!

I have had this tortilla warmer for two weeks and believe me, I have put it to good use since I got it, that means that around 60 tortillas have received a nice sauna treatment in that warmer ;) they come out perfectly soft and they keep warm for about 10 mintes after. I wrap my tortillas in a beautiful napkin that my mother in law gave me (that’s the advantage of having a Mexican mother in law) and warm each tortilla for 12 seconds (so for example if you put 4 tortillas you’re going to set up your microwave for 48 seconds). The material it’s smooth so the washing it’s easy. My favorite part it’s that when you take the warmer out of the microwave it’s cool to the touch, that was a good surprise to me :)
