I use this on circuit board repairs to secure the repair and coat with a tough non conductive material. The product is ideal for this purpose. It leaves a clear strong layer of material that firmly bonds to the circuit boards.

I used this as a resin to fix the coils in a small, single-phase AC motor I was rebuilding. I had to use quite a bit of it - most of the jar - but it did work work, seeping down into the coils, soaking into the fish paper, and, once cured, locking everything up nice and snug. I needed something that could handle temps over 250F, as that was the maximum internal temperature of the motor I expected to see.

The resulting resin is fairly hard, though not overly brittle. Good at keeping the wire from wandering on account of magnetic or thermal forces, but not the sort of thing that you'd use to resist serious mechanical fatigue, you'd want some actual epoxy resin for that. This is more for closing up exposed metal surfaces to prevent accidental discharge/contact, especially at higher voltages.

Fairly happy with the result, so would recommend.

I've tried many resins for coating the coils of our devices where this is the best so far! We don't like using the two-part resins nor the red color because we want to show the windings.....this is almost clear and is only one part which is super easy to apply, no guesswork in measuring and looks fantastic! We'll be buying more in large quantities, thank you!

For when you have high voltages and sharp exposed metal. Sharp points increase the electric field gradient leading to Corona. Corona dope I’d basically s brush in insulator to prevent that. Works ok in my 40 kv application.

Absolutely excellent results. Ground off the black carbon residue on the inside of the ceramic tube socket with my dremel tool. Then applied two coats of Super Corona Dope 4226 and voila, no arcing at 3,000 volts DC. K3WX

Suppresses corona effects very well. Very easy to use but is shipping-restricted because of some of the ingredients. Nice to find a product that still works and has resisted disabling effectiveness to escape the restrictions now applied to some chemicals (even in very small containers).

Traditional corona dope had red solids (clay maybe?) and it hardened to a thick coat once dry. This stuff seems to be all polymers and solvent, more like the old time "Radio TV Service Cement" we used to patch speakers with. It works adequately for low-voltage projects but I would not use it above line voltage (120 in the US). I certainly would not trust it in, say, the high-voltage section of an analog TV set or a ham transmitter. Also, it attacked the PVC insulation of a jumper strip I applied it to, ruining the jumper. I threw that away, replaced the jumper and used a bit of electrical tape. If you are working with anything above 110 or high frequencies, use Scotch Kote. More expensive but worth the peace of mind.
