They changed the syringe so now the plunger is separate and doesn't stay attached. It's annoying because that means you have to keep track of another piece plastic just to push the flux out. It doesn't make any sense either since the clamshell packaging just got bigger instead of smaller.

    I've been using a flux pen and other types of rosin flux for a while and none have given me the results that this product has given me. The cheapest of solder wicks will work great with some of this smothered on it before application. I just swapped out every single capacitor on a Vectrex gaming system and this along with a lot of wick Made the job so much easier. Highly recommended.

    Like others have mentioned, this flux takes way too much effort to get it out of the tube. It also continues to flow once you break the skin on your thumb pressing so hard and then set it down which gets a bit messy and is somewhat wasteful.

    The plunger does stay attached unlike the chipquik brand.

    Once it is applied, solder flows really well and the residue is easy to clean up.

    Overall, it worked well. The force required was a drag but then again, the chipquik plunger that falls out bothered me too. I am going to try the Kester brand next which is about twice the cost but...

    Used for some retro console mods and repairs and mech keyboards mods and upgrades.

    Please note if it is not stored properly it WILL go thick be very hard to push out of the syringe.

    If it does go thick you can use it like regular solder use a fine toothpick to place it.

    If you want to revitalise it you need to squeeze it out on to a small tub and mix it with solder flux and it’s good to go
