Ridiculously tricky to use, this creativity program featuring Looney Tunes artwork is a real disappointment. What should be a fun experience is marred by a cumbersome, non-intuitive interface and by hard to understand character speech.
Kids are supposed to be able to create customized cards, magnets, stickers and so on using supplied artwork and imported photos. There are so many steps to each simple project, however, that children become frustrated fast and don't want to use the program. For instance, once you select a project, you have to switch to a second content CD-ROM to see it. The software doesn't tell you this, however, it just gives you a text message that says it can't find the project. Once you finally do get to work on something, you have to take it to different "rooms" to do anything with it. There's a photoroom, a writing room, a red eye removal room, a paint shop, a prop room....get the picture? It's just too clumsy.
Positive features can be found in the program- photo import capabilities, special effects like warping and rippling and a built-in e-mail address book. The program comes with some specialty papers like stickers and so on, and written help is available for those children who like to read manuals. Kids with real perseverance may appreciate these components, but given the complete picture, most of us will want to pass.
