Top customer reviews
Media Center (They have XBMC running on these things and will be improving support in the future)
Low footprint PC (Seriously, you could tape this to the back of the TV and get an outstanding Android-based PC)
Security Camera (What I'm using it for): IP Webcam, combined with the linux program motion on another PC, makes it for a great security camera. I'm sure most cameras work, but I'm using a Logitech C260 if it helps. It doesn't detect all of the resolutions though, only up to about 800x600 if I remember correctly.
Some additional thoughts:
1. It's rootable and it's quite easy to do. There aren't any custom ROMs that I've found so far for it though.
2. OpenVPN won't work on it currently. It has something to do with the TUN module, apparently. Which is a bummer because I'd love to get this thing on my VPN.
All in all I'm very happy with the device.
1) This product is not well understood and has technical aspects to it the novice will find frustrating.
2) If you "google foo" your issues with it there are infinite possibilities on how to get it to do WHATEVER you want
3) Very powerful video decoder, plays videos way better than my x86 Dual core PC with 4gb ram
Pair it with a good video GUI like VLC, XBMC or whatever you like. Just cant say enough on how much you get for such a low price!
Remote it comes with seems like an afterthought to me. As Pete and Manu would say "If its not perfect, leave it off the plate"
Works perfectly with the Koolertron 4 in 1 iPazzPort fly mouse... no setup needed.

Review Update 5-28-2013
My device started overheating and random reboots while playing videos... Worked great all winter... :( Amazon.com customer service was very helpful on the refund. Shipping back and ordering another one.
Now coming to the cons of the device, I have a 32inch LCD TV and i look for the clarity of the movie in my media players. This is the thing lacked in this device. The picture is okay. Not crystal clear but it looked okay. It looked washed out if you observe closely. Now this is my preference and you can be okay with it if you don't really want a very crisp movie quality but for me i need to see my movies in HD and that why i am returning this product.
I bought the device hoping to run the HBOGo, WatchESPN, Hulu+, and Xfinity Player apps. They all work to varying degrees of success.
The WatchESPN app works directly from the Play Store. The only issue I have is the audio and video are slightly out of sync; the commentary and crowd reflect what I will be a second later. I can live with it.
The HBOGo app does not work directly from the Play Store. It mentions that HDMI output is not supported. A workaround for this app exists, so it can be used instead and it works very well.
The Hulu+ app also does not work directly from the Play Store due to HDMI output restrictions. A workaround also exists for this app. It's not as clean at the HBOGo replacement app, but it works OK.
The Xfinity Player app does not work, again due to HDMI restrictions, and I know of no workaround that currently exists. Once this is working, this setup will be the cat's meow!

Idk why I couldn't keep my review down to 5 words, I thought it would be short and sweet- so I guess I'll tell a story about the Neo-G4.Read more
