Overall, I feel like I definitely got more than I paid for... for once in my life. I recommend these to anyone even if you only use half of the bits.
The wood box they come in is handy, not excellent quality but good enough.
I'll update this review in 6 months or a year after extended usage.
It is a good assortment and an excellent set for the beginner. I have never used a router before! So far, I put a round edge on pine and cedar, 16 runs 8 feet each on a single bit. Smooth cuts each time. Just slow down a bit when you get to the knots in the wood.
The case is nice, but not "very nice" as some reviewers have said. It is a cheap wood case made of plywood but it holds all the bits securely and safely, and it is sturdy enough to do the job and keep the latch securely closed.
Luckily I had another Makita 1/4in straight bit that came with my trimmer and it powered through the rest of the job without breaking a sweat.
These might be OK for the odd light job but I lost confidence after the first use, with half a router bit flying across the floor. A little disappointed after reading some good reviews here. Returning them is not so easy from Australia so I'll hold on to them as an emergency.
Can't comment on the other bits in the kit yet to determine if I was just unlucky with this one.
