The MOD Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the MODs and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960's were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.

Now for the WOW portion of the review. My Fender 212R was a back up amp, yes I said was, the amp is now my main amp for gigs and practices. Well worth the price, time and effort that I invested in this purchase.
I applied this tank after confirming the longer length would fit. It required new mounting holes (screwed in by hand) and a longer RCA cables. Installation was probably 1/2 hour.
Now it sounds fantastic. It doesn't have the harshness and it gives you a warm reverb. Now I have a good sounding amp for what I do (make noise in basement).
