Purchased this for a POV camera on piano keys for a live stream of a piano and strings competition. While the camera was difficult to focus and zoom (partially a set up issue on our part - but the lens rings are super sensitive) and used it for one day, moved its location and the camera was no longer capturing images. It was tested on three different occasions and all seemed to be reasonable. Got great use of it on piano day, but when we moved it for the strings competition the next day nothing.Took quite some time to narrow it down to the camera as the issue and very frustrating. Contacted Mikose and they said try updating the camera bios which I did and nothing changed. Did a quick disassembly in hopes of seeing something that was obvious but all I have now is a one-use small $125 electronic scrapyard. Very disappointing.

    I have three of these that I use to record multi-camera zoom meetings for various non-profit organizations. They work flawlessly. They provide excellent footage in low light conditions. They are small and lightweight so they can be mounted easily from ceilings and on bookcases in out of the way places. I am quite happy with these cameras.

    I had hoped to use this camera as a webcam alternative, to get a different viewpoint that straight out of my laptop. The ability to adjust the aperture, zoom and focus are awesome, and while it is VERY finicky to get the focus right, it's not impossible. Definitely don't plan on changing that often..it's better to set it and forget it. The real issue with this camera is that it lacks any warmth to the color tones and everything appears more blue than it is in real life. I spent an hour playing with the white balance and anything that makes it more realistic adds overblown blue details anywhere that's slightly overexposed. It ends up looking like a cheap cell phone camera from 10 years ago. Really wanted this to work, but it isn't going to for my intended purpose. In addition to that, when I was testing it the day after I had set it up, it started to cut out the video over and over, to the point that Zoom actually turned video off multiple times. Seems to be lacking in quality.

    It’s basic, no frills, but overall it’s a pretty solid camera for the price!

    My opinions:

    I wish they would get rid of the IR sensor (a remote control is not included for some reason so it’s a useless “feature”) and replace it with a 3.5mm stereo mic input.

    Also, the single hex screw that secures the lens onto the cameras are never tight from the factory and are extremely tiny and hard to tighten. This leads to the lens getting out of focus when making adjustments to the actual lens adjustments with no instruction on how to reset to a factory spec focus point after it’s been moved. (I’m sure this might be a basic thing for an experienced camera person but if your buying this, you’re probably not experienced enough to know what you’re doing) They should replace this with a thumb screw similar to the ones used to focus the adjustable lens to make it easier to tighten.

    The top and bottom 1/4in mounts are great!

    Got this for viewing a wire manufacturing line running at 32 ft/min. Able to focus/zoom in very close, and at 240 Hz I can see the detail in the product as it runs past camera. Colour is good and there are many different options to change camera settings including ISO, quite nice. Viewing on 50 inch TV with a HDMI splitter for second line. Works great, easy to use. Tried PVR 4K security cameras, nop not good enough.

    The unit actually works ok!
    The manual lens controls are pretty touchy, but they work as they should.

    I’d say that the image quality is pretty decent given the cost of the unit.

    One small downside is that the focus changes drastically with any change to the focal length, this is pretty standard with most prosumer lenses, but it’s very drastic with this unit.
    Build quality seems decent.
    Bottom line, a great deal for a small camera… if it keeps working.
