1. Needed BIOS update in order to run new generation of Ryzen for 5600x CPU.
2. Flash BIOS worked great with single click on the tiny button with USB plugged in.
It is one of the best feature since BIOS flash works even without CPU or RAM plugged in.
However, some USB does not work and I had to try 2~3 USB with 2.0
3. Pre installed IO shield saves time and reduces stress. Also it protects breaking ports like USB while installing the board on the case.
4. Power phase is fantastic and I am fully using 8 pin + 4 pin connected and it does help boosting for PBO and power management.
5. QVL supports many XMP RAM and with user friendly BIOS it loads with single click like a champ.
6. WIFI6 on the board helps to move my PC around in the house and I no longer need to place my PC in limited space for LAN cable connection

As rumored, that mainboard was great.
Easy installation guides, flawless slots and parts, and nice shape.
I was a little surprised that the board was smaller than expected.
The price was also obtained at a great price through the blackout sale.
It shows high stability and performance for games.

The RGB isn't much but if you have other RGB installed then it becomes a nice compliment. RGB near the PCI-E slots are hard to see with GPU installed, but most come with RGB so it doesn't matter all that much to me. The mystic light software works, but if you have other RGB software installed they won't play well together and constantly reset when computer sleeps or shuts down. I set and uninstalled Mystic Light to get my settings to stay. Kind of a pain if you like changing often, always having to redownload.
running a ryzen 7 5800x with an msi ventus RTX 3080 OC in a fractal design meshify 2xl case. also using an MSI 850 watt power supply and MSI's triple fan closed loop cooler with G.Skill's 32GB(4x8stick) trident z neo 3600 cl18 memory and a samsung 870 evo 2TB pci-e gen 4 ssd.
temps are lovely. the bios activated the xmp profile for the memory on the first try, no need to fiddle with settings. the MSI dragon center software sync'd up all of the RGB with a click, and i have it set up to go from blue to red based on temps. love that feature, i don't need a temp monitor on my screen during gaming.
the only complaint i have is a very minor one, with the RGB headers. MSI uses "jrgb" for the non-addressable regular RGB, and their version of addressable RGB is called "jrainbow" on the motherboard header. i don't know how other board makers handle it, but the connectors are flimsy and do not hold together very well. the slightest bump can knock the plugs loose from the headers on the mobo.
not a huge problem once you get it all set up wherever your PC is gonna sit, but it can be a hassle to keep them plugged in while you move things around for cable management and closing up the case before moving it to it's final location.
price was decent, if not quite as low as i would like. i can't complain though, with all the shortages going on in the industry as a whole.

My two issues are the following:
When it arrived, the BIOS hadn't been updated meaning I had USB port issues until I made a reddit post regarding how to fix it and some chad told me to update the BIOS. (This model was known to have USB port issues previously.)
&
Make sure you're aware that the WiFi is via antennas on the back of the computer, not on the board.
Previously I used 3700x + MSI B450m mortar max, and mortar max provided high reliability especially when overclocking CPU and RAM.
This experience with mortar max led me to choose MSI once again.
B550 carbon is very reliable along with plenty of power units,
has decent finishing(including RGB features),
and also supports your wireless system having intel ax WiFi.
I`m sure if you seek for the balance between your budget and performance,
this will be the only option to perfectly meet your needs.
