I have been using this for my media center box and I really love it. Reliable MSI quality. I have been building computers for 15 years as a hobby. This was my first time building a Media Center system. It was a steep learning exercise because what you have to re-think about every single component very carefully. If you do decide to build one... Let me give you some advice.... Thinks silence over power...... You you do not need to add video.. The CPUs for these includes a great cpu/gpu chip. Adding a better video card is needless and will cause more heat, thus more cooling. That means fan will have to speed up causing noise.... Noise is the Media center arch nemesis. A sound of a fan on a normal computer great... Media center... Like listening to nails on a chalkboard. That's all you will hear..... And it will drive u insane trying to ignore it... Again.. Rethink your idea of what's important... Silence is a requirement...this motherboard is a fantastic start to your build,,,, oh, and no matter what case u buy... Invest in "silent" fans... Replace all stock...

It is very well made with great and clear instructions. I am using an AMD A-8-6600K with an Arctic Alpine 64 GT Rev. 2 CPU Cooler, Kingston Hyper X Fury 8 GB RAM, Kingston 120 GB SSD with Win 8.1. Everything powered up right away with set up instructions at BIOS screen, and after everything is set up, this thing flies! Built this for my son to play Plants V Zombies Garden Warfare and couldn't be happier.

I have used this board on A10-7850k builds but tried to use it on two later builds using the later A10-7870k Godavari APU. Fresh Windows 10 install gave chronic security kernal crashes at random times. Sometimes twice in an hour. After much research I found out that MSI decided to *not* release a BIOS/UEFI update for this board to support the Godavari chip. I had to pull the 7870k chips and purchase A10-7850k chips to remedy the situation. MSI is releasing the new V2 board as a "fix" for this board's inability to run the Godavari chip. I give it one star because the board is described on the box as "FM2+ Processor Ready." The wireless card also performed poorly on my wireless network even after multiple driver updates. Best DL speed I got was 5mbps (non-AC router).

What doesn't MSI do well? MSI and ASUS have been the most consistently reliable motherboards I've used in the last 20 years, I've mostly gone with MSI since you tend to pay a premium with ASUS, but in this situation this motherboard was perfect for what I needed had all the features I needed to build a little mini system for gaming, VMware, backup system, everything.

good mother board make sure you double check your GPU clearance before you buy if you plan on having a CPU cooler. and the bios screen is a little finicky. but other than that a quality board. (and wifi is AMAZING off of this wireless antenna)
