Advanced DDR4 Boost
With traditional memory design the memory signals are often distorted by electromagnetic signals from other components, making the system perform slower or become unstable. MSI introduces DDR4 Boost technology with optimized traces and fully isolated memory circuitry. This design ensures the memory signals stay pure for optimal performance and stability.
Military Class 4 Components
Dark Choke uses the special core design and allows the Dark Choke to run at a lower temperature with higher capacity and better power efficiency and stability.
With their aluminum core design and Japanese made quality, Solid CAPs are made for high-end design motherboard. Not only do Solid CAPs could provide lower Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), but also work firmly for over-10-year.
With Audio Boost we're delivering the highest sound quality through the use of premium quality audio components. That way, you can enjoy breathtaking, crystal clear sound and music through 6-channel Audio or high impendence headphones and truly dominate the game.
Enhanced CPU Overvoltage Protection
Onboard overvoltage protection prevents overvoltage and short-circuit damage of the CPU and other components. A red LED near the 24 pin CPU power connector let you know that overvoltage protection is activated for easier troubleshooting.
Faster Storage Drive
M.2 doesn’t need any power- or signal-cables and with a very small footprint. M.2 is the storage connector of the future replacing traditional HDDs/SSDs.

MSI H110M GAMING LGA1151/ Intel H110/ DDR4/ SATA3&USB3.1/ A&GbE/ MicroATX Motherboard NOTE: Need Bios update for Kabelake CPUs.
Top customer reviews
This is a great budget board. I used this board to build a great starter gaming PC for my nephew (i5 6600k with a MSI GTX 1060 i know the k wasn't necessary as it won't get overclocked, but it was the same price as the non k when i bought it) , and i bought this board for a very compact build (media & gaming pc). Other than the fact that you have to update the bios before it will post with a 7th gen processor, it's a great motherboard and that's the only reason i rated it 4 stars.
The mobo i received did not come with bios v3.7 installed. THIS MOBO WILL NOT POST WITH A KABY LAKE (7TH GEN) PROCESSOR UNTIL YOU UPDATE TO 3.7
This means you will have to put a 6th gen (skylake) processor in it and update the bios before it will post with a 7th gen inside.
I bought an i3 7100 for this mini build, but had to put my i7 6700k in it and update the bios because it wouldn't post with the i3 7100 in it, after the update it works fine with the i3 7100.
So, don't purchase this with a 7th Gen Kaby Lake unless you have a 6th gen processor or have a friend who is willing to let you use theirs just for the update. Hopefully at some point they will start shipping them with the updated bios, but until then you'll have to update it.
If you don't know how to update the bios just google how, it's very simple and easy to do.
Hope this helped, good luck with your decisions!
One complaint, MSI mentions it has USB 3.1 connectors while other manufacturers with similar boards simply mention USB 3.0 is included. It turns out both are the same, * "the USB-IF organisation published an article where they announced that USB 3.0 connectors capable of 5Gbps (SuperSpeed) would now be classified as USB 3.1 Gen 1. While the new USB 3.1 connectors, capable of 10Gbps (SuperSpeed+) would now be classified as USB 3.1 Gen 2". So don't be fooled into believing this board has faster USB support than similar H110 boards in this price range from other manufacturers, MSI is simply taking advantage of the new USB 3.1 Gen 1 naming convention. I thought this was another advantage over other manufacturer but it turns out not to be the case.
Excellent Build Quality
Perfect Port Layout
Full Fan Control via Nice BIOS
Supports M.2 PCIe 2.0 x4 SSD
Everything I would list here would be of direct limitation to the Intel H110 chipset itself
If you don't need the overclocking capabilities of the Z170 chipset or the RAID capabilities and extra SATA/USB ports on the H170 chipset than the H110 chipset is all you need.
However I did have several issues with it, but luckily I was able to solve all of them.
The RAM slot has a hard time fully connecting to the motherboard. If you turn it on gives you some beeps it is most likely the RAM not fully in the slot. I really had to push it hard for it to recognize.
While I was playing a game, the PC vents got really load and it turned off and the PC would not turn back on or make any noises.
So I thought either the motherboard burnt or the power source... Test the power source and it was good. So I took everything apart and put it back together and it worked. No problems since then.
Also, the little speaker that does the beeps stopped working.
If I were to buy it again, I think it is worth spending a little more on a higher quality one and one that comes with wifi/bluetooh.
I purchased the following M.2 card and memory for my build and they worked with no issues:
Kingston HyperX Predator 240GB M.2 SSD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V01C376/ref=psdc_1292116011_t3_B015SOI392
Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4 kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TY6A1LY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I added an i5-6500 processor. As of now, the system runs very cool and fast. I will be adding a NVidia 1060 video card very soon so I expect the gaming to be excellent for years to come.
