Very nice low profile design. Fit in perfectly for a slim tower desktop. Has three ports(HDMI,VGA, DVI). Supports dual monitors. The software , called Catalyst Control Center, coming with this video card is user-friendly. Just keep in mind that, if you are using HDMI connection to a computer monitor, and if you see white boarders around the monitor, you would need to adjust the 'overscan' to zero in the scaling options of Catalyst Control Center.

I have Dell Optiplex 360 with stock 235 watt psu. Run CD first and change the BIOS setting to detect my graphic card. Installed it and up and running in 10min or so. So much better than Intel onboard graphic!

I have a Dell OptiPlex GX620 small form factor/slim line pc. I have 4gigs of ram, Vista pro 64 bit, Pentium 4 HT 3.4ghz processor, a Samsung Blu Ray drive, and a 260 watt power supply unit (more than plenty). Using HDMI I have my HTPC connected to my 50 inch Samsung Plasma 1080p tv in the bedroom via a midsize Sony receiver. I use a Logitech MK550 wireless key/mouse combo, and the Logitech F710 wireless gamepad. I have a steam account with many games. I have this card set to run my TV at 1080p resolution, and 5.1 surround sound using HDMI going into my Sony receiver. Of course this graphics card is no power users dream in anyway but, for an old pc that just needs an upgrade its perfect. I can play Skyrim, Team Fortress 2, Hawken, Kingdoms of Amulur: The Reckoning, and many others on low settings, and on my plasma it looks great. Quality of this card is amazing for what it is and does. Price is a steal for such a small wonder upgrade. I have attached pics to show it installed in my pc and displaying on my tv. I also have great video of it playing skyrim and will load it when I am able to. This card is perfect for any small pc needing an upgrade, great kids pc for games, or anyone wanting to play pc games for little money but with great quality graphics from a well known and very reputable manufacturer. You can not go wrong with this small powerful graphics card for an aging pc. Buy today even at 40 bucks its a steal.

PS....my phone is actually a Samsung budget phone with less camera quality....these pics don't do the card justice for its quality is way better.

My original review is as follows and carried a 3-star rating......1.5-hours to get it working which for me is about 1.25-hours too long. Is it the fault of the card? Mostly...
I have always built my systems for myself, so I am familiar with what I am doing, in this case it simply decided to have a mind of its own. The system that I used this in was an Asus system I bought from a local big box store for work. My system has been great for over a year, but I bought a new 24" monitor to replace one of my 19" monitors and for some reason it was glitching-- returned it thinking it was the monitor, bought a different one from a different manufacturer and same result....also changed cables too and still the same problem... so it has to be something funky with the video card. Done deal, ordered this HD6450.
Powered down the system, removed the old card, installed this new MSI card... will not post. Really? So I go through the steps in reverse, and then it will post.... do it all over again, same no post result. So the next time I get into the BIOS and turn off the external card and force the use of the on-board video set... then it goes through a tantrum. Great, just what I needed. Having work to actually do, this is not cooperating. Then out of the blue it likes the HDMI on the motherboard and I get a signal. New video card is not recognized....so I pop in the CD and that is the next part.... it will not autorun. Open the disc and even then, I cannot get anything to run. Great, so now I have to download drivers.... on DSL it took 30-min. Had some lunch and then kept at it.
So now for some reason it decided to turn on my second monitor and then I moved the HDMI cable over to the card... all was working. Great, so then I do the right thing and reboot....

This is a very nice graphics card for the price. I am very impressed, usually graphics cards in this price range are pretty crappy.

First off I would highly recommend not using the msi software and drivers that come with this, download the AMD software and drivers for this model number Radeon instead. All Radeon graphics cards work with AMD software and driver regardless of their brand name.
This card can run in dual graphics(Crossfire) mode but I would only recommend using it with a 7x hd intergrated card or another 6x hd dedicated card.
This card will support light gaming and medium gaming using dual graphics mode.
This and all ATI graphics card are compatible with all flavors of Linux, and there in a non-proprietary driver for it. I would not recommend using the proprietary Linux driver for Ubuntu, Mint, or Debian based systems unless you are using the KDE desktop as other Linux desktops have an issue with the proprietary driver.
Dual graphics mode will not work in Linux but Linux does support multiple monitors on multiple graphics cards.
All in all this card is the best bang for your buck.
