Two partitions, Windows wants Windows Logon

This is by far the best spec'd laptop I've seen for the money. However, it has a couple issues that make me less than perfectly happy.

The first is not MSI's fault. Microsoft has decided that if you are setting up Windows X on an Internet-facing machine you must sign in with a Microsoft account. Turn on airplane mode (or do not set up your network first) to avoid this.

The second IS MSI's fault, and as far as I can tell it's both wholly avoidable and totally unnecessary. That is, there is both a C: and D: partition, splitting our already scarce space into two less usable partitions (less usable because programs and data will never be split evenly enough to fill both at the same rate, so one will fill and the other have plenty of space). The technical problem is that the Recovery partition is BETWEEN the C: and D: partitions, so short of clearing the partition table and re-installing there's no way to (e.g.) delete the D: partition and expand the C: partition to use the remaining space.

Also, MSI has no support on weekends.

This thing is a beast, I've had it for a month now. Runs all games out at highest graphics settings with no problem. Fans are loud and battery doesn't last but if you're playing games without headphones and unplugged you're doing it wrong. Glad I paid up for the extra ram. Hopefully a little future proof.
