I chose to build using:
-Intel i5 7500
-MSI B250M PRO-VDH
-Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8GB x2) 3200mhz DDR4 RAM
-Samsung 960 EVO 250GB SSD
I reused their 430 watt Antec PSU, Rosewill mATX case, an LG sata DVD drive and a card reader.
The install was quick and easy. Everything worked without a hitch from first boot to upgrading BIOS to installing Win 10 Pro and copying their data over and running updates. I doubt they will even come close to pegging this CPU but wanted to give them room to grow and figured the breathing room this would give over a dual core (even with hyper-threading) would be worth it long term.
I have used many MSI motherboards over the years and generally like them all. I wasnt expecting much from this board being a low cost option and I got essentially what I expected. No bells and whistles in the BIOS. Overall easy to use. Updated to newest version via USB stick without issue. It recognized all the components and didnt present any issues.
I was hoping that despite the clearly stated 2400Mhz limit on the RAM that it would load higher speed RAM using XMP profiles. While this recognized my RAM/XMP as being capable of 3200Mhz it would not set itself higher then 2400Mhz. Likely could have saved a few bux getting 2400Mhz RAM instead, live and learn. Didnt dock a star for this.
Took a star off due to motherboard layout. Specifically the sata and USB/audio headers. I knew this going in but it was in my opinion the best mATX board in this price range despite the odd placements. Made working with it a little hard.
Win 10 installed all but I think 1 driver for the board but many of them were old (Windows update fault, not board maker). Got newest drivers from MSI support site which is decently laid out and easy to find stuff.
Overall happy with it. For the basics it is fine, but you may want a nicer albeit costlier option if you plan to use it for anything beyond standard tasks, need other features, etc.

I've had no troubles with the motherboard, and I was easily able to update the BIOS with tools from MSI's website once I had the computer up and running. I'm not experienced enough to speak to the layout or any very technical details, but I can say that it works for a beginner and makes the foundation for a solid business build. The only thing I dislike about it is the flimsy I/O shield, but that's pretty much cosmetic.
Here's the build. With some judicious shopping, I put it together for about $525.
