Durability ✭✭✭✭ 4/5
—I've used my girlfriends 5L for a couple of years, the small flip nozzle is getting pretty smashed up. It doesn't leak, but its kinda gross looking. The material the bag is made from is extremely durable. I wouldn't hesitate dropping it or dragging it on the dirt or rocks.
Weight ✭✭✭✭✭ 5/5
—It's heavy material but much lighter than a plastic jug.
Design ✭✭✭✭✭ 4.5/5
—It's black which looks great and doesn't get as dirty. But it does make the water warm quicker in the sun and hot weather than if it were white or another reflective material. This could be good for anyone that likes warm water. (A shower attachment perhaps?)
The Shower Kit allows for control of the water flow, for filling up a pot, cup, washing dishes or taking a shower.
If you're packing it in empty, it's little heavy, but that's owed to the 1,000-Denier construction.
The only issue that I have with this dromedary, is that unlike MSR's DromLite resevoir, MSR didn't provide a central attachment point at the top of the bag as a means to hang it.
It has a "webbing" that is threaded between four grommets (one grommet each on the top left and top right and one each on the bottom left and right).
While using the webbing as a tie down on a motorcycle or back might work, trying to hang the bag from the webbing, only causes the bag to fold up, like an accordion.
I have no idea what they were thinking when they changed the design for this and omitted a hanging loop from this bag, but it doesn't work.
Fortunately I carry nails in my possibles pouch and I have to use two nails and drive them through the top two grommets into a tree in order to use this..
