So far I am extremely pleased with my purchase. This stove is extremely small and light. I did a boil test right when I received it and I was able to boil 1 litre of water (in an MSR titanium 1.3L pot) in exactly 3.5mins as advertised. Another advantage of this stove over my Wisperlite is that I found the PocketRocket 2 to have far superior control over the flame, so I can quite easily set it to simmer (this was always an extreme challenge with the Wisperlite). Finally, this stove is extremely easy to ignite. No fiddling around with pumping and priming like the Wisperlite requires
In the end, I don't think I will ever get rid of my Wisperlite. However, it will most likely start to collect dust on my shelf as the PocketRocket 2 will be my go to stove from now on. Great product!
I tested this with a GSI 1.1 Liter Halulite Boiler pot which seemed to be a good size for the stove's support. Went with GSI over the MSR Titan for a little more capacity and also because I read the Titan handle can get quite hot. GSI handle stayed nice and cool.
This pot stores a 100g MSR fuel canister, the pocket rocket 2 (in it's plastic case) and a bit of room to spare for a lighter, small folding knife, stormproof matches etc...
I've read reports this fuel doesn't work very well below freezing so I'll continue to use my MSR Dragonfly (white gas) stove for colder conditions.
