I got this pan to go with the MSR Quick 2 cookset. It snuggles right on the bottom of the stack. Its nonstick surface is good. Washes easy and I use plastic scrubbie covered sponge with no problems. The cookset only comes with one handle so this second one is helpful for the second pot if I do not need to use the pan. Handle is steady when the pan is loaded. The whole set is very lightweight. I think it will hold up nicely.

I originally switched to this skillet to save some weight over a steel/stainless steel pan. What really impresses me about this pan is how fast you can boil water with it. The aluminum transfers heat more efficiently than other metals and the extra surface area helps to minimize time for boiling. I also use this pan to boil water for coffee in the mornings (on trips). Highly recommend this product!

The pan stows easily with the removable handle. It is very light, and the high sides make cooking a snap. It can cook solid or saucy foods with ease. Wasted money on a supposed backpacking pan at REI that was way too heavy, and very cumbersome. But this MSR Flex Quick Skillet is just about perfect. Absolutely a must-have in our backpacking kit now.

I picked this up for more versatile cooking while keeping my pack weight down. I'm pretty happy with it:
Pros:
- Very light, but not titanium. Titanium isn't a great idea for a skillet because it transfers heat a little too well. You will get serious hot spots. This helps spread the heat a bit better.
- Handle is detachable.
- Deep enough to boil enough water for things like instant potatoes, for one person. You don't have to carry a pot if you want to cut back on weight.
- Non-stick works a treat. Get yourself a silicone scraper or cut the head off a spatula.

Cons:
- Pretty much have to accept that anything this thin and light WILL have hot spots, especially on an alcohol stove where there is central point of heat. I've tried it over an alcohol burner making grilled cheese. As long as you keep rotating it and moving it about, you'll be fine. A move even heat source would be better.
- The handle assembly feels a little flimsy, with some plastic parts. I would be careful working over open flame.
- Non stick means you have to regulate heat more carefully. An uncoated pan can take a lot more heat without damage.

I'm really happy with this and just wish the handle felt a little sturdier or was an all metal mechanism. But the price is right, it's light, and makes cleanup easier. If you want a pan, would recommend.

I love this little skillet. We recently used it along with the MSR Quick 2 System Cook Set this past weekend. The set nests nicely inside the skillet. We made breakfast burritos (eggs, sausage, hash browns) all using the little skillet and a campstove. It distributed heat evenly and wiped clean afterwards. We could not be happier.

Me and my wife go camping, backpacking, and motorcycle camping. We bring some perishable food with us for the first day or so.. Nothing beats bacon and eggs. We did a lot of looking around and a lot of trial and error I probably got 5-10 sets of cookware in the garage. This one is made of nonstick aluminum and has a fold over talon handle. I’ve used this to cook breakfast (bacon, eggs, etc...) to frying some fresh caught fish to the fat squirrel eating my peanuts.

After many uses I have the Pros and cons.

Pros-- Nice wide base and high walls keep food even and from falling out.
Pros-- balanced and can be left along for short periods of time without falling over due to handle weight
Pros-- Nests perfectly underneath the MSR Quick 2 System and other products.
Pros-- Has durable None stick coating that prevents food from sticking to it. (no butter needed but I prefer butter)"yum"
Pros-- Made of lightweight aluminum so it doesn't weigh much.

Cons-- end of handle close to the skillet gets extremely hot and retains heat longer than the skillet body.
Cons-- Aluminum body is very thin so keep your food moving as you will get hot spots.
Cons-- If not paying attention to hotspots you will discolor the bottom of the skillet.

We bring it along with our MSR Quick 2 on every trip.

Got this to go with the Quick 2 cooking set, and now feel like our backpacking kitchen is complete. The cooking set nests nicely into the skillet, and the skillet is small and light enough that it doesn't take up excess space or weight. Despite the light weight, it's sturdy enough to do the job. We put it's non-stick capabilities to the test with our powdered eggs, and nothing stuck. The skillet was easy to clean. The deep sides mean it can almost double as a pot for simmering stews and things like that. The detachable handle is easy to use. It's not huge, so things like pancakes need to be done in batches, and cooking for more than two people would be difficult, but any bigger and it would be a pain to pack. For two people, this is a perfect little frying pan, and a great addition to the Quick 2 set.

Good quality just like the Quick 2 Set. I was under the impression that it fit INSIDE the Quick 2 Set. That is not the case. It fits on the bottom on the outside of the set. That is my fault for not doing more research. Honestly, it is probably a good thing. It is a small skillet. Wouldn't be much use if it was any smaller. It does come with an extra handle, which is good. Those things are expensive.
