I can sometimes find passata locally but if I want Mutti Passata I have to order it online. My order came on time, well packaged, and worth the cost and shipping. I recently made two recipes with Mutti Passata. One is Italian Sugo (sauce, gravy whatever you like to call it) which was phenomenal and the other was a braised Brisket in Barolo or red wine and passata. I've been making both recipes with other canned tomato sauce, jarred tomato blends or what have you, but the texture and flavor of passata is much better for these dishes. If you have a true Italian grocery in your town you can probably find a lot of different brands, or if there is a Whole Foods you can sometimes find it there. Since I only needed three bottles for a large (huge really) batch of sugo, and 1 for the braised brisket, it's worth the cost per bottle. I don't know if I'm allowed to share my recipe blog where you can find these recipes, but it is foodflirtation dot wordpress dot com. It's not a commercial site, I'm not selling anything - it's just where I post the recipes I make.
