The sound quality is excellent and the directional capacity is good, too. I screwed the mic adapter directly onto my mic stand. But it also comes with a kind of a mini tripod that many will find very useful.
I love the fact that it plugs into the USB port. It's simplicity makes it extremely fun to use.
It's not quite all good news, though. The little tripod stand it comes with is handy enough for my needs, but it's really only good for sitting perfectly stationary on a desk. The legs wobble, the mount sits askew, and the whole thing tends to fall over when brushed gently. Unstable and crummy; definitely not five-star material. Good thing the mic itself is decent.
Price-wise, this mic is super reasonable.
This mic does tend to pick up that hissing noise, so maybe adding a pop filter or shock mount would help with that, but it's nothing too horrible.
Overall this is a pretty good starter mic.
I play guitar as well, for the quality it isnt PERFECT but it does pick up everything from the plucking sounds from strumming, the chords and you sliding your fingers on the strings.
Overall, volume is tricky but if you get it right then you are good, have the mic close to your voice, and background noise from static and other things exist
