The decal did come with a little card (with photos) of instructions...but I really didn't understand them. Sooo this is how I transferred it to the wall with satisfactory results. The decal comes with two sheets. One sheet that the decal is on and this other clear plastic sheet that's stuck onto just a white sheet of paper. You might think it serves no purpose and just throw it away....don't! If you can, try to flatten that one as well. Even if you have to take the time to roll it in the opposite direction just to take the curl out of the paper but try to get both sheets flat.
Now say you got both sheets as flat as you can get them. I did this by myself which I don't suggest and to have another person with you to do this as best as possible. Next peel the white backing of that clear plastic sheet that's the same size as as the sheet the decal is on. The back side of that clear sheet will be sticky but not to sticky to where you can't lift it up and re position it back down to where you want it. Just be careful and pay attention to the decal and that it doesn't lift off it's own sheet, stuck to the clear plastic sheet...just yet.
If you can get the sheet with the decal flat as you can (On a hard surface like a table) then carefully take the clear plastic sheet, match up the corners of the decal sheet and carefully start pressing the sticky side of the clear sheet over the decal sheet. Kinda like if you were laminating the decal sheet. Make sure you remove any air pockets. If you don't like how it's sticking to the decal sheet you can carefully lift it back up slowly and lay it back down. This is where the 2nd person comes in handy!...or would have with me.
Once you are satisfied with how the clear sheet is laying over your decal sheet, carefully lift up the clear sticky sheet to where the decal is coming up off of the white decal sheet, stuck to the clear plastic sticky sheet. Do this carefully and slowly. If parts of the decal remain stuck to the white sheet, lower back down the clear sheet and press on the decal so it'll stick more to the clear sheet. Another tip is if your fingernails aren't sharp or long enough to lift up any small part of the decal, keep a pair of tweezers near by to help.
So if successful, you should have been able to lift the decal off of it's white sheet via the clear sticky sheet. Now take the clear sticky sheet that now has the decal on the sticky side and position it on the wall, where you want it. Step back and make sure it's exactly how you want it. When satisfied, I suggest to now take your finger and start pressing the decal onto the wall. NOT the whole clear sheet....just the decal behind the sheet.
Then start slowly lifting the clear plastic sheet off the wall, peeling it away. Now some parts of the decal might start lifting up with the sticky sheet, lay it back down and just press the decal a LITTLE BIT harder to the wall and try lifting again. If that still doesn't work, use the tweezers to lift the decal off the clear sheet and use your finger to press it against the wall at the same time separating it from the clear sheet.
This might be a little time consuming but you'll be happy with the results. Once you've separated your decal from the clear sheet and it's stuck to your wall, glance over it to make sure no parts of your decal are successfully sticking to your wall. If you need to lift any part of the decal to re position it, use the tweezers to assist. Good luck!
