Recently my Mom passed away and us girls were given her jewelry, it hadn't bee worn or polished for years and some looked like costume jewelry. After using Maas on every piece I found inscriptions from my Dad to her which just looked like discoloration or build up, trust me, I lost it when I could read the loving messages stamped inside that I had no idea were there. I also found hallmarks on what I thought was costume jewelry but it isn't and I almost gave it to Goodwill for free.
Highly recommend for polishing anything, the only thing you need to be careful with are 'soft' gemstones and pearls in jewelry and inscriptions that could bring you to tears.

I would recommend, based on not so positive reviews, ensuring you use a clean cloth whilst polishing the product in (before buffing). For me, I just moved on to a clean section once the piece I was using was black.
As I said, my tap was ruined with the tarnish but this did the trick. I am just sorry I did not take a before photo and I will not be using the bleach/limescale product ever again so you’ll just have to take my word for it!
After a few applications this product really worked. I'd tried another 'foam' jewellery cleaner first, and that had no effect.
It took 3 applications to really get the grime off, but I'm really happy with the results. 1 applications equals as a squeeze of toothpaste for a small bit of jewellery. Larger items would probably need more.
I also cleaned my antique Cartier watch (only a cheap gold plated one) with this, and I got similar results.
