The Monster Mall features the likes of Frankenfood, the Werebaby, and Henry the Hungry Skeleton in a silly selection of spooky tales. Club Pet continues this funny poetry series with illustrator Adrian Sinnott.

See review for Book #1, Sound Off. It should have been 5 stars, but that didn't happen (my error). Our grandson, 9 years loves the series. In colorful comic-book style, the book is easy for him to read in bed just before he turns out the lights. He regularly asks me for more of the "Daniel Boom" books. So far we have purchased all of them for him.

Two panels tell us how things ended in book one, then we are introduced to each superhero and their power. With that the story picks up where it left off in book one. Uncle Stanley didn't drop by just to say good work, he wants to enlist their help in defeating the evil Industry of scientists who are out to quieten children forever. He gives them costumes and communicators and they discover a plot by Kid-Rid Industries in their own school where they have enlisted the help of the mean lunch lady to introduce a special polite powder into the mac & cheese turning the children into polite mannered zombies. Loud Boy and friends must find a way to get the antidote distributed to all the children in town and hand the evil Mrs. Grossweiner over to the police. This one was even better than the first book! Uncle Stanley tells the kids the whole background story of the evil KR Industries and his part working for them until he found out they were evil. So we know have a complete background story on the kids (from book 1) and the evil scientists (this book). Once the story is wrapped up and every one is celebrating, the scene is is set for the next book and the kids are called to their next mission causing the reader to be excited for the next in the series. Lots of action, fun superpowers, gross bad guys, and humour make this an excellent sequel to what is proving to be a fine series for the younger set.

My six year old loves comic books, but I have a tough time finding comics with subject matter appropriate for his age. This series is super! The illustrations are bright and bold - they really jump off the page. The story is fun and thrilling (but not scary or violent). I can't tell you how amazed I was that he chose to read these books rather than watch TV. I am also happy with the overall message of the series - what makes you different is what makes you special... embrace it! The Loud Boy comics are a terrific series!

Both my 8- and 11-year old boys enjoyed this book. They also enjoyed the 1st and 3rd books in the series. They want me to purchase the next one for them. I didn't realize that this was a comic book until they arrived. I don't mine, but I thought future buyers might like to know this. Otherwise, it is a funny book perfect for boys (although my 11-year-old is a bit too old - he's just reading it b/c my younger son leaves it laying around.)

My kids loved David Steinberg's earlier books. Now they are enjoying his graphic book series. Their friends each wanted their own copies of this book and the first Daniel Boom aka Loud Boy.

This series of books has been a blessing for our family. My daughter, 7, hates to read. Yet she will pick these graphic comics up and read on her own straight through. Keep 'em coming!

I purchased this through Amazon and my great-grandson found this to be very humerous and it kept his interest until he had finished reading it. Highly recommended.
