He disguised himself as a Highlander so he could play his beloved game and earn winnings. They developed a relationship that turned into one of love, danger and intrigue and soon were fighting for their lives. This is a different story than the usual and surrounds Scotland's love of Golf and competition. I enjoyed it very much and it kept you guessing.
The story is so well developed and the end so rounded, I congratulate on the writing and my choice which has not always been wise or fortunate. This book relieved me from some bad choices. And what I like most that the story is placed in historical time and place with a real Queen taking part of the actions which makes it more real and believable.
And the end is surprising and great!
