I rarely laugh out loud while reading a book. Just try not to while reading this clever collection of stories by Ms. Fisher. She managed to find the perfect blend of wit and sarcasm to balance the raw grit and reality of her lifetime struggle with addictions. About the Author
Charlotte Fisher (b. 1963) began her writing career passing notes in the 7th grade. Since then, she s worked as a journalist, a short-order cook, a PR flack, a dog walker and a greeting-card writer. Based in the Detroit area, her non-fiction work is largely biographical, focusing on sobriety, spirituality, healing and hope. Fisher shares her tragic, tender and twisted stories with the goal of helping others. She credits writers Anne Lamott and Erma Bombeck for their ability to find humor in adversity and wisdom in everyday life. Fisher received a BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and an MBA from The University of Michigan. She is most proud of her recovery, her volunteer work and the nine rescue animals she shares with her partner. She spends most of her time picking up poop and taking long naps. Her sobriety date is March 23, 2004.
