The fluff begins early and carries on through the first 25% of the book, describing a young Jack Kennedy in a rather broad and uneventful way, and briefly touching on Jackie Kennedy and her life. The details of Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Nov. 22 are quickly raced through, in a brief and rather confusing timeline, with no real build up to what his motivations were for defecting to Russia, returning to the US, and ultimately, purportedly assasinating JFK.
Rather than bore you wih more details, suffice it to say that this book is more hype than history, poorly edited, and, in my opinion, poorly researched (as if they just took snippets out of all the prior books on the topic). Just not a very compelling book, the "beginninger version" on this subject, kind of like the type of book you might give to a high school freshman to read when teaching a history class
