About the Author
Morton A. Kaplan is Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science Emeritus at the University of Chicago, and was editor and publisher of TheWorldandI.com, and founding president of the Professors World Peace Academy. He was also chairman of the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago, and a member of the Hudson Institute. He is recognized as a founder of modern international relations theory and of political systems theory. Ira Sharkansky is professor in the Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ira Sharkansky is professor emeritus of political science and public administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He had previous appointments at the University of Utah, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Brigham Young University. In addition he is author of several works, including The Political Economy of Israel, Governing Israel, and Coping with Terror.
