This book really takes you back to how you felt and acted in high school, where image seemed to be the most important thing. Sometimes the nerdy girl does get the jock and she finds out they have a lot in common.
I also loved having a romance between almost 50 year old people. The issues they were going through—health issues, dying parents, grown children, careers are all very realistic at that age and yet romance is still possible.

Dawn was an invisible nerd at high school with a crush on football jock and Mr Popularity, Mike. They meet again when Mike wants to buy a gift for his mother, and both become involved in organising the thirty-year school reunion.
This was a pleasant read, it made a nice change to about characters from near to my own age. And there were some lovely cameos from beloved KITC characters too.
Susannah has created a perfect second-chance love story with deep, original and well thought-out scenes, relatable and well developed characters, and attention grabbing writing. You can truly experience every moment, feeling and emotion in the phenomenal words that Susannah has written. No surprise, I absolutely loved this book!
Main characters, Dawn and Mike, were just so sweet and swoon worthy and perfect together! The history/past between them adds an intriguing layer to their story that I absolutely loved. They go through struggles, but in the end they come out all the more strengthened and bonded because of them. Basically, Dawn and Mike received their well deserved and hard earned, HEA ending and I couldn’t be happier about it!
I highly suggest starting this book when you know that you have time to read the whole thing through. I know I couldn’t put it down from the second it showed up on my kindle. 😊 I truly enjoyed every word of this story and I HIGHLY recommend reading it!
Long story short, Susannah did such a fantastic job! ❤️ She keeps bringing her all to every book she writes and I couldn’t be happier that I got the privilege of reading “Mad About Ewe” early. Five stars from me! 😊👌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book has the cover of a romantic comedy and it is not a romantic comedy. This book features strong medical themes and family member death. I think this is important to representing the time of life the characters are in, however it's periodically sad.
I'd love to read more books with characters in their 40s, but I wouldn't watch this as a film. It's a bit of a soul searcher.
