All Benefits, No Frills
Tournament gamers played an integral role in the creation of the R.A.T. PRO S. Through years of development, we have pared down its feature list to the most essential components demanded by tournament gamers. The end result: R.A.T. PRO S provides everything you need in a tournament quality mouse, and nothing you don’t.
- Customize Your Comfort via Length and Tilt-Adjustable Palm Rest
- PixArt PMW3310 Optical Sensor Delivers Game-Proven Performance
- Change DPI Settings On-The-Fly
- Weighs a Mere 77 Grams (2.71 oz) for Hours of Fatigue-Free Gaming
Customize Your Comfort
Adjustability and customization is part of what defines every R.A.T. high-performance gaming mouse. It’s an essential part of our gaming DNA. The R.A.T. PRO S lets you make lateral and horizontal adjustments — the palm rest tilts plus or minus 15 degrees side to side, and extends up to 12mm from the mainframe. Now you can easily discover a position that suits your hand size and grip style.
Pro Gamers’ Sensor of Choice
Accuracy is key for dominating your competition, and the PixArt PMW3310 infrared optical sensor delivers just that. FPS, MMO, and RTS players can rest assured that all their movements are pixel-perfect with this true 5000 DPI sensor. No acceleration or software-guided adjustments mean you get 100% control of any situation. Ideal for those who prefer the feel of an optical sensor or the professional MOBA player who wants full control of their lanes.
Personalize Your Dots Per Inch
Whether you want character speed in a MOBA or sniping accuracy in an FPS, two different DPI options are always within easy reach via DPI switch. In addition, downloadable PC software lets you assign distinct values to a separate Precision Aim button. To change sensitivity on-the-fly with the DPI switch simply hold the Precision Aim button for an immediate shift to the DPI you set within the software. And, the button’s shape offers simple actuation no matter the position of the customizable palm rest.
Quick and Lightweight
Weighing a mere 77 grams (2.71 oz) excluding the cable, R.A.T. PRO S is one of the lightest gaming mice available. An agile baseplate glides smoothly atop slick and quiet PTFE feet. This feature is perfect for the low sensitivity/high movement play style used by PC gamers in competitive tournaments. Providing next to zero resistance on most gaming surfaces, your lightning-quick reactions immediately translate to in-game actions.
Onboard Profile Memory
You don’t always have the luxury of playing on your own PC during a LAN tournament. Just like the Precision Aim button skillfully handles specific gaming situations, built-in mouse memory handles another. The R.A.T. PRO S can store up to three profiles you define within the programming software. Assign profiles for your favorite games and then simply set the mouse to auto-profile mode. Upon launching a game, R.A.T. PRO S will detect the game and instantly load your personal settings.

Mad Catz reached out to professional tournament gamers to discover what makes the best gaming mouse. They told us the exact features they look for in gaming mice, and explained what they don't have a use for. We used their comments to make a quick and agile computer mouse that delivers dependable performance. Our downloadable PC software lets you dial-in custom settings like DPI and game-specific profiles. And, onboard memory lets you plug into a different PC and keep those settings - no matter where the battle takes you.
Top Customer Reviews
I used my Cyborg RAT 7 for 6 years and loved every minute of it. The customization is amazing, i have huge hands and being able to stretch that palm rest back is beyond comfortable and a feature no other mouse can tout. The old RAT 7 was starting to have issues i couldn't solve so i caved in and my new RAT PRO X showed up 3 hours ago.
Setup was cake. Driverless? Who needs drivers in 2016 anyway!
Magnetic attachments for the hot swappable lasers and low friction slide pads? Genius.
Software is solid, graphically clean and simple. I like it much more than the 2010 software i had for the RAT 7!
I'll try to update the review in a few days after I've had more than an hour of game time with it, but so far it has been phenomenal. Excellent responsiveness and the clicks feel so... deadly.
P.S. CERAMIC "ULTRA LOW FRICTION" is not a figure of speech, the mouse looked like it could almost defy the laws of physics with those pads. It just kept sliding... off my mouse pad... off my desk... out the window...
Below you will find pictures of how to complete this process. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
(This process is for Windows 8.1 but should be simaler to other windows)
To start go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers > Right click 'RAT PRO X' > Click properties > Go to Hardware tab > Find the HID compliant game controller driver and disable it.
Steelseries Rival,Razer Deathadder Chroma,2013,Steelseries Sensei, Mionix naos 7000, final mouse 2015,RAT 7,FUNC MSR3-2,LOGITECH G400S,RAZER OUROBORUS,g502
And now this, i have to say that this is the best mouse out of them in my opinion because the fact that is so light and accurate for counter strike global offensive and also is comfortable for long session of gaming and the fact that you can adjust the length of the palm rest and also adjust the degrees of it to find your perfect position in which you feel like you are comfortable
Comfort: 9.5/10 Not everything is perfect but this mouse is getting close to it
Quality:9/10 Because is not aluminum and mainly good quality plastic with nice feel to it,feels like rubberize coating from mionix naos 7000
Color:9/10 the mouse is actually green and not yellow as you can see in the picture and the cable is like a green yellow but mostly yellow
Performance:10/10 you cant go wrong in term of performance, i might do a video of me playing cs go so you guys can see how accurate im being with it in just 4 hours of having this mouse, not even a day!
Switches:10/10 The switches doesn't have any delays, easy to press, good feel and feedback coming from them
Software:0/10 Can't rate the software because they haven't put it on their website and that is what piss me off, which means that you can't set your dpi to whatever you want but luckily you still can change from 3 dpi default settings which the first one is 800, and that is perfectly fine with me because that has always being my dpi
OVERALL,I GIVE IT A 9.25/10 And for making me do this review which is my first one ever.
Extra information about me: I'm from Dominican Republic currently living in New York and trying to dominate the English language and have fun with my friends playing games.
