mixed thoughts

i've had this scooter for about 2 months now and love it. i rode a folding razor for years and finally decided to invest in something worth riding in the park. the scooter works well for $100. however when you break down the pieces they don't score well:
Break: pretty terrible and rattles a bit (just bought a replacement)
bars: the design is crap and they rattle (which is fixable) (im currently shopping for welded single piece bars)
wheels: already broke one, upgraded to medal core
Grips: they work, but could be better
fork and deck and clap apear to be fine.
all this said as a complete set everything works. i would say this is a great stepping stone on your way to purchasing a professional grade scooter.

I purchased this Madd Gear VX2 Pro Scooter, Red, for my nephew for Christmas. HE LOVES IT! Fantastic price, quality product, super easy to put together, and I had just as much fun testing it out as my nephew did after I gave it to him. The brake is on the back wheel (which for some reason surpised me... I guess I'm getting old). Make sure to read the safety instructions. It says in there that it should only be used on dry pavement. The brake does not work well on wet pavement (though it does still brake, it's just a much slower braking time). All in all though, it's a great product, and my nephew loves it, so I do too!

My son is 11, he uses the scooter just to move around in the park, nothing fancy, nothing crazy, however, the handle bar continues to get loose. This is the handle he needs to hold the scooter in place.
It becomes dangerous as you hold it that it losens and you could lose grip and fall. I have tried screwing it as tight as possible. It still becomes lose and now i am no longer comfortable him using.

i like this scooter and everything its just after a while the barss wiggle like they move a little back and forth and just a little up and down. i dont know what it is because i want my scooter to be perfecto.but overall can take serios stuff boxes grinds bris tails whips and everythinghav. so just buy it it is a good scooter all i have to do is tighten headset.

He loved it! Have had it over 6 months and no major issues. Just small dings because he is so rough and uses it to jump bike ramps. The floor section is wearing but replacements can be ordered. Great because a lot of the parts can be ordered separately to replace normal kid rough use damage.

I wear size 8 1/2 to 9 shoes and I'm 5.7 The scooter works great for me at the skatepark! Only problem I've had is keeping the wheel straight while I tighten the clamp, But that's my fault. If you have something to hold your scooter while you do this I'm sure it is avoidable. I recommend this scooter for beginners and intermediate skater! (If you better than that you probably would want to invest in a better scooter like Lucky or Phoenix)

the frame was bent and we had to return it. when he rode it he could not turn right or left smoothly. we wanted to exchange but couldn't we had to return. I don't know if they are all like that or if we were the lucky ones.
