The heel height is excellent, but I wouldn't recommend them to someone who wants a very noticeable difference in their height. I myself am 5'9 and do not need the extra height, so these work perfect for me.
Here's the two things that made me give these boots a 4 instead of a 5 star product: For one, I had thought that the boots would come up a little bit more closer to my knees than they do. As I said above, I am pretty tall, but I was hoping for something a little taller. Not a big deal, but for those who are tall and are wondering how far they come up, now you know.
Lastly I found that if the toe skids along concrete, they scuff easily. I'm guessing that since they aren't $300 boots, that they aren't made with the highest quality materials, so therefore they are more prone to wear and tear. But since they were really not that expensive and I bought both the brown and black, I expect they will last me this fall and winter, and hopefully longer!
