Our belt size is measured from where the leather folds around the buckle (without the length of the buckle itself) to the center hole, not to the very tip. Generally, your belt size is a size up (2 inches) from your waist size or pant size. But it is always a good idea to measure yourself, just to make sure. The best way to tell your correct size is by measuring an existing belt. Take a belt that fits you well, and measure it from where the leather folds around the buckle to the hole you are currently using. That would be your exact size. Another way of telling your correct size is by measuring your waist line. Using a flexible tape measure, measure around your waist where you would normally where your belt. Be sure to measure over your clothes, since that is how you will wear your belt. That measurement is the exact size you need to order. Remember, ideally, you would want your belt to fit in the center hole, so if your measurement does not come up to an exact number, round up to the closest available size.

Today I happened to be looking at my old Amazon orders and saw this belt. I pulled up the photo, and then looked down at my waist to compare the color. The change is quite remarkable, and looks great. Aside from color change, the belt has held up with no problems so far. I figured I'd put his review up, because too frequently you only read reviews by those who just got their product. You rarely get their opinion after they've used it for a while. I attached a quick photo taken while sitting at my desk so you could get an idea of the color it has become.
It's an extremely rugged belt. The leather is very thick and doesn't appear to be stretching like cheaper, thinner belts. Price is very fair for what you get. If you want a belt that ages with you into something truly unique, this is for you.
I did some research to see if there's a better option. That led me to the term BIFL (buy it for life) which I assume is still a marketing exaggeration. Anyway, there were some $100-$120 name brands, but I can't really wrap my head around paying that much money for a daily belt, that will serve more of a utility purpose than as a fashion item.I may have paid that much for the designer belt that I wear a few times a year with a fancy suit, but my job is more jeans and khakis. My daily use belt will be tasked with little metal clips for work ID badges, the occasional tape measure, and as a hanging point in a gym locker. I need my daily use belt to be tougher than the designer belt.
My (more fashion conscious) wife reports this color doesn't look good on khakis, but it doesn't typically show on my cargo shorts when paired with an un-tucked shirt. She says it looks fine with jeans.
I've had the belt about 2 weeks, so its barely showing signs of wear. 4 stars for now. If I come back to this review in 6months and its in the same condition it is now, I'll up this review to 5 stars and buy a black one.
I've had this belt for about a year now and it's gotten a shade darker than when I first got it.
If you're not sure of what size to get I would size up. I ordered the size 32 originally and it had me in on the first hole and I usually wear size 32 pants. I ordered a 34 because I figured this belt will see me into my not so slim years down the road.
