The New Adventures of Madeline 3 Seasons

Season 3
5.0 out of 5 stars (5) IMDb 8.1/10

The beloved MADELINE stars in 26 new adventures, continuing the fun and friendship begun in the first 33 landmark episodes. Never before has such a clever, adventurous and mischievous little girl withstood the challenge to entertain generation after generation in such grand style. Continually faithful to the spirit of the classic children's literature series by Ludwig Bemelmans, these richly textured period pieces capture the exotic spirit of Paris in the early forties. This series offers an enchanting opportunity to fall in love with those "twelve little girls in two straight lines" over and over again.

My 2 year old LOVES Madeline (books and the tv show). All episodes are done in the original Bemelmans style, both in terms of illustration and narration. The TV show is really cute--cute stories, nice little girls, catchy music. It is not flashy, like so many of the cartoons on TV today. Love the rhyming narration, as rhyming is so important for literacy.

Appropriate and fun entertainment. Enjoyed by infant, 2 yr old and even 9 yr old (when forced to let his sister choose the show). Good plot but repetitious enough to allow little one to join along in cute sayings and songs.

I love these cartoons. I am an "old-school" mom and my daughter is growing up in a home filled with art and antiques, so I felt like these classic cartoons fit into our lifestyle. They are well-written, well-designed and have wonderful messages. They are simply adorable.
